His America-first policy is already bringing big changes in various areas such as the economy,
security and diplomacy.
Kim Mok-yeon has the full story.
At his inauguration ceremony, U.S. President Donald Trump pledged to put America first
in all aspects.
"From this day forward, it's going to be only America first."
President Trump has vowed to use the next four years to win back advantages for the
United States.
In the economy sector, he pulled the U.S. out of the twelve-member Trans-Pacific Partnership
deal and pledged to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement.
"Everyone knows what that means right?
We've been talking about this for a long time.
Great thing for the American worker."
Summit talks began with various countries as he seeks to reach trade and security pacts
with allies like Britain, Japan and Canada.
The Trump administration is also pressuring Washington's allies to open up their wallets
on defense.
Trump's new defense chief called on NATO members to significantly increase their defense spending.
"It's a fair demand that all who benefit from the best defense in the world carry their
proportionate share of the necessary cost to defend freedom."
President Trump's immigration ban on seven Muslim-majority countries caused a major stir
and was frozen by American courts after it prompted mass protests and chaos at airports
nationwide.
Despite widespread opposition from around the world, Trump is set to push through with
a new, streamlined travel ban as early as this week.
Just a month into his presidency, Trump's policy on North Korea has been tested after
the regime test-fired a new type of intermediate-range ballistic missile.
"North Korea is a big, big problem and we will deal with that very strongly".
The Trump administration is expected to turn the screw on North Korea in all areas as it
promised to take a hardline approach.
In a Gallup poll,... Trump's approval rating stands at around 40 percent, marking the lowest
ever rating for a U.S. president after a month in office.
Wasting no time to implement his campaign promises,... all eyes are now on how President
Trump will shake up the system at home and abroad with his America-first policy.
