Louvre attack suspect identified as Egyptian national

Prosecutors in France believe the man who tried to attack the Louvre museum was an Egyptian
national who was in Paris on a tourist visa.
Officials say the 29-year-old, who has yet to be named, is thought to have travelled
to Paris from Dubai last month.
Police are trying to work out if the man acted alone or under instructions from a terrorist
group.
The attacker, who was wielding a machete,... was seriously injured after he was shot in
the stomach three times by soldiers.
At the time of the incident, tourists were packed inside the Louvre, which is home to
thousands of celebrated art works, including the Mona Lisa.
