the Fit Men Cook kitchen you can see I am
ecstatic about today's video because
we've got a special guest coming just be
dramatic entrance
my mama is gonna be here in the fit men cook kitchen
and I'm just ecstatic about it
so let me back up to give you some
context my friends over pronamel asked
me to create a video and a recipe about
a woman in my life who had contributed
to my strong foundation and I thought
about the many people in my life and I
just kept coming back to one person and
it was my mother at a very young age my
father was terminally ill and it was
really challenging for my family in many
ways my mother was working two jobs she
was going to work to work again and then
the home to make noise for us and then
to the hospital to get from my dad and
somehow with very little resources she
was able to make it work to keep our
family together and keep our heads above
water and I remember one moment
particular where we were really
struggling financially and there was a
young couple that came over to our house
from the church and they were struggling too
and I remember my mom going into the pantry
and saying yeah and take out what you
want and she began to give them groceries
and we were struggling ourselves
and at a really young age that really
taught me a lot about love and about
serving others the today's video I am
dedicated to my mama I'm gonna go and
pick her up
I'm gonna bring her back here to the
kitchen and I am going to make one of my
favorite dishes that in a poke a sushi
bowl and I chose this for two reasons
first one it is a nutritious with lean
cut the fish and fresh vegetables and
fruit it can be deeply flavorful and
savory with the sesame oil
it can be all of a sudden sweet because
its first to bite into and then it can
be mildly acidic because you got onions
in there and then you've got some
vegetables and fruits that are really
crunchy some that are worthy of soft in
all it is just displayable experience in
your mouth
and the best thing about it is that it
is eating your muscles and feeding your
body and the second reason is my mom has
been so inspired by many of you and your
stories about transformation through
healthy eating and so she has embarked
on her own
it just goes to show that you could have
a transformation and begin that journey
at any age the most important thing you
gotta do is just start so hats off to
you mom for doing that and as we all
know and healthy eating that one of the
most important things is to keep your
diet varied and interesting right so
what can be more interesting than a
woman from the cells repaired in
Louisiana having sushi for the first time
hahaha I know its crazy she hasn't tried
it but I'm gonna bring her back here and
i'm going to make it for her that way i
can ensure she will actually eat it all
right I'm gonna fill the entire thing
i'm going to take you with me
you ready let's go
my mom has no idea what we're doing
Hey momma, hey Kevin!
I got you on camera Say hi! Hey y'all!
man hang out with my baby and this is
Kevin loves his momma you know even asking me about
sushi and stuff like that that that I'm
gonna take you to have sushi yeah it's not
the shaky stuff is it no it's gonna be
as raw fish looking to do that but I'm
gonna make it for you
I'm gonna make a poke bowl
why you look so nervous
why do you look so nervous i just am
so we got our salmon we have tuna we got
some limes and cabbage, no carb noodles got some
green onions and then some mango to make
it sweet
first let's prep start by dicing up
the mango slicing the cabbage
chopping up the green onion next we're going
to carefully cut the tuna into cubes then do
the same with the salmon to a bowl ad
sesame oil low-sodium soy ginger mango
lime and rice vinegar stir it up then
toss in the tuna and salmon, gently fold the fish in the sauce
garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
assemble the bowl with raw cabbage
shirataki low-carb noodles
tuna and salmon poke and fresh cucumber
Boom!
I want to thank you for watching today's
video as far as a Poke bowl is concerned
I want you to make it your own tossing
your favorite veggies and fruit just
keep the calorie conscious and then also
if you want to make this bowl a little bit
more Hardy swap out the shirataki
noodles and floppy and brown rice or
brown rice noodles again I want to thank
my friends over at pronamel for
inspiring me to get my mom to the
kitchen and to share this experience
with her
this was a great memory for that I know
we're going to look back and and it's
laughs about and that's the way that
food should be food should create
memories so eat food that will allow you
to create more those memories not less
of them and everyday healthy routine
enables you to be your strongest brightest self
so eat well until next time guys
I want to keep it healthy but of course
what never ever boring boom!
I'm gonna walk out this tab bye!
