video footage of its Hyunmoo type ballistic missiles.
A government source told Seoul-based Yonhap News agency on Monday that authorities are
considering ways to advance the launch of the long-range precision-guided missiles as
part of counteractive measures against North Korea's continuing missile threats.
Hyunmoo ballistic missiles are capable of directly striking the North's command headquarters.
South Korea has been releasing footage of its test launches of various types of missiles
in response to North Korea's provocations.
The source also said the government is planning to hold a combined fire extermination drill
this April, the eighth of its kind since 1977.
