The independent counsel team will summon Samsung Electronics Vice Chair and de-facto leader
of the group, Lee Jae-yong for the second time Monday morning, as the team accelerates
its probe.
The tech titan is implicated in alleged influence peddling by President Park's jailed confidant
Choi Soon-sil.
Since the court declined to issue an arrest warrant for Lee Jae-yong three weeks ago,
we've been able to do some more investigating.
We're calling him in for questioning about some additional things we've found during
that time.
Lee was first questioned a month ago... when the team kept him at their offices for a marathon
22-hour session.
The prosecutors then requested a warrant for his arrest on charges of bribery, embezzlement
and perjury, but that was rejected.
There's a chance they could again seek a warrant after the latest interrogation.
