South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson has introduced a bipartisan resolution condemning Pyongyang's
development of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The resolution calls for the U.S. to apply all available sanctions on North Korea and
to swiftly deploy the THAAD missile defense system to South Korea.
It also urges Washington to boost security cooperation, technology development and joint
training with Seoul.
This is the first time the Trump administration has initiated a resolution condemning Pyongyang.
North Korea said last month that it's in the final stages of test-firing an ICBM, meaning
it could theoretically threaten the U.S. mainland.
