Now people have been referring this as a few different names.
The trash bird, the blue bird, the head banging bird, the stupid bird,the dancing bird, I’ve
even heard somebody call it a dumb stupid idiot who will never amount to anything in
life…oh sorry I forgot we’re talking about the bird and not me for a second there.
So what is this little guy’s real name?
Well he is officially known as the Trash dove!!
He looks a little more like a pigeon to me.
But hey, tomatoes tomatoes.
This little guy has started to blow up pretty big over the last week.
And when I say blow up…I don’t mean like this.
I mean in the viral way…If you have a Facebook page.
You more than likely have seen this little guy around And if you haven’t yet, jump
on Facebook right now and I guarantee one of your dumb friends is using it.
You see the dove is a set of Facebook stickers which people use as emojis on the website.
The stickers made their debut at the end of January and since then have been heavily used
on the social network.
The sticker set depicts the bird in various scenarios…like this one where it says “I’m
on a roll” and the bird is literally on a roll!!
That’s classic.
Or this one right here where it says crumby day!
Get it?
Cause birds…crumbs….thats what they eat!!
It’s Genius!
There’s even one with a bird and a donut around his neck!!!
You Stupid bird!

I swear this is comedy gold!
The most popular of the stickers is the one that is animated and features the bird banging
his head like he’s at a metallica concert!
The bird was created by a Florida Artist Syd Weiler , man that guy has a super cool name.
He sounds like the type of guy that I would wanna go have drinks with after work.He also
has a ton of cool art on his website that follows a similar style to the dove.
Now I was trying to find a picture of what syd looks like online but I couldn’t find
his anywhere!
Oh wait, here he is….wait syd is a girl?!
A pretty girl….uhhhh…where was I again?
Right boobs….I mean bird.
I meant to say bird
Now when the trash dove was first introduced on facebook it was used and people enjoyed
it But it really started to take off in early February thanks to our friends in Thailand!
You see users of Facebook in Thailand really started to use the pigeon, I mean dove…
I mean bird!
They started to us the bird a lot.
They began to spam it and use it pretty often.
One person saw one of their friends use it, so they started to use it, and their friends
started to use it and then it began to spread like a zombie plague.
But it reached new levels of popularity when it was accompanied with a song in a short
video that is a bit strange and also pretty genius.
Young viewers , shield your eyes.
Yeah…that was uhhhh…something!
The video gained over 3 million views in less than a week!
The popularity of the dove was noticed by various news sources that wrote articles on
the topic and With that kind of exposure it became easy for the trend to spread across
the world becoming popular on English Facebook over the last few days!
And now that it has been spammed so many times and it has been seen by so many people it
has also began to be used within various meme images that only propel its popularity .
So there you have it!
The trash dove started off as a Facebook sticker pack, before eventually becoming popular in
thailand and circling the globe becoming more popular
in the process!
