Shawn Michaels Offered Wrestlemania 33 Match! WWE Raw Stars Jumping To Smackdown?

Last November, Rock ‘The Dwayne’ Johnson delighted audiences with his portrayal of
the demigod Maui in the Disney animated movie Moana.
The film has made over $600 million at the global box office since.
An impressive haul - considering at least one person contributed nothing towards it.
The Rock’s kind-of-relative Roman Reigns (their grandfathers were blood brothers) has
revealed on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning whether he’d seen the movie: “Once, and
it was bootlegged...so yeah, sorry Rock.”
Reigns committed a crime without facing any substantial consequences.
Which probably means he is moving to Smackdown.
Hell, he’d probably get a WWE Championship shot.
Two other Raw wrestlers have also been rumoured for a Smackdown move.
Squared Circle Sirens have reported Summer Rae - who’s been out with a shoulder injury
since last August - has been at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando to get medically cleared
to return to the ring.
Apparently Vince McMahon wants Summer to return alongside Emma - who’s been off TV with
a terrible case of gimmick confusion - to be a part of the Smackdown Women’s Championship
match at Wrestlemania 33.
Alexa Bliss is currently set to defend her title against “every available woman on
the Smackdown Live roster” - an intentionally vague stipulation, setting the stage for multiple
surprises.
The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has backed up the Summer Rae story, also naming
Tamina, Naomi and Eva Marie as potential additions to the match.
Both Summer and Emma were drafted to Raw last July, so suddenly challenging for Smackdown’s
title would presumably mean a move for them to Tuesday nights.
Dave Meltzer speculates that the “every available woman” could actually extend beyond
the current Smackdown roster, citing reports that female wrestlers from the company’s
past have been contacted for “something big” at Wrestlemania.
Kelly Kelly has teased a WWE return in the last few weeks, while Lita has recently wrestled
a match on the independent scene.
The Newsletter adds Lisa ‘Victoria’ Varon is another possible name, and Maria Kanellis
is thought to be going somewhere in secret.
And usually, when a place has to be kept secret, it’s WWE.
Someone who definitely won’t be competing at Wrestlemania 33, though, is Shawn Michaels.
But that’s not apparently through WWE’s lack of trying, as The Heartbreak Kid revealed
on The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast: “I guess I’m breaking something with you
and I don’t even know if I should, but I could have had that match.
They didn’t have an opponent for AJ [Styles] at WrestleMania.
I said that I hadn’t been asked because I hadn’t—but then I was.
I said, I wish that young man was here 10 years ago, man.
I honestly do.
I think he’s very talented.”
Michaels is one of those rare professional wrestlers that’s actually stuck with his
retirement stipulation, not having wrestled since losing to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania
26 in 2010.
Styles is now, of course, facing Shane McMahon at WWE’s biggest show of the year.

In the spirit of tantalising wrestling ideas, following Triple H’s unsanctioned match
challenge to Seth Rollins on this week’s Raw, the also not-medically-cleared Daniel
Bryan teased considering a similar way to make his wrestling return - replying to someone
pointing out the loophole to him on Twitter with “hmmmmm.”
Which means we get to check in with the How Many F**** Does Daniel Bryan Give counter.
His fellow General Manager Mick Foley recently lost his job on Raw.
Could that make Bryan care about his position with WWE?
No, it’s zero, people.
It’s still zero.
Bryan doesn’t even seem to care about the wrestlers he fires staying fired.
