- My name is Kawan DeBose, I'm 30 years old
and I'm from Miami, Florida.

which is very hard to do.

- I'm gonna level with you, Kawan.

- It's been a rough go so far this season.
I, you know, I've been doing this a long time.
There's no one has been and will always be so picky
when it comes to finding the real thing.
The only man that can do
the kind of falsetto with the same kind of ease
and the same kind of range is Prince.
- Wow.
- When you go up top like he does,
the way you cascade down,
the way you maneuver around it has that just,
you want to make that face of like, ah.
Like, that's the best thing ever.
I can't even believe that you can do that.
- Right.

- Can you tell me a little bit about
how you got this point and why you're here?
- My first gig was at a church I was 10 years old.
Music has kind of kept me
employed ever since, you know?
- Really?
- Hotels and restaurants
so I'm just looking to go to the next level.
- I was on a crazy journey, as well.
Like, I didn't just
suddenly get to this spot right here,
and that's why I think it would be really fun
to work together
so I can share with you
all the different experiences
of playing all over the world.
And also at this point in my life, like,
every thing's in color right now for me,
and my purpose feels really focused.
I would love to learn from you and then you could learn
a little bit from me and we could collaborate.
And then we could show the world
your gift that God gave you.

I'm not disregarding the other coaches,
but I just wanted to give you a moment
of insight into Adam
'cause he's dope, too, and so are you.

It is so much fun to watch
how much personality you have on stage.
Somebody hands you a microphone and a great song,
all your coach has to do is just get out of your way.
