It's just the, I guess, the eve before the Longines Queen Elizabeth on Saturday.
It's been a long preparation to get this far and
Everything's gone to plan
So, um just
Two more days to go before the big day on Saturday and
This morning's work out was just making sure everything's working
Making sure that Hugh Bowman was happy with her.
Um, you get their breathing right, you make sure that they're
They're focused and moving well.
And just keeping the, um, pre-race nerves
off the horse, like you do with the trainer, the jockey, and making sure everything's in order.
Um, I'm quite relaxed at the moment.
I suppose as we get close to the time, um, the natural
Energy and emotion will start to filter through my body as it always does, but
Um, you know, having been through the
Um, process a few times before now
Um, you know, it's certainly getting more comfortable with it all
You know, at the end of the day, for me, it's
The horse gives me a lot of confidence.
Ultimately that, that keeps me relaxed.
A little bit like a child waiting for christmas, it just seems to, to never come, but
It's not long to go now, and um
Obviously she's already had three races this preperation
But this is the race that we've been building towards
basically since she won the Cox Plate in the spring, so
It's the Championships, it's the
It's the time where all the best horses get together and
and obviously she's in great form, but she needs to win again.
Yeah, there's no doubt she knows that
She's, she's the queen.
