Game of Thrones Top 10 MOST SHOCKING MOMENTS

Hello everyone.
As promised, I am back with another Top 10 video.
Today I will discuss the 10 MOST Shocking moments in Game of Thrones.
We ALL love game of thrones for A LOT of reasons.
One of the main reasons is that NO OTHER SHOW can shock us the way Game of Thrones can.
Literally, ANYTHING can happen in this show.
You will start thinking that you understand this show now, that it cannot surprise you
anymore, and BAM!!
It will prove you wrong every time you’ll think that.
In this list, I’ll try to look at it from the Show Only fan’s Point of view.
Because in the books, a lot of hints have been dropped for some of the plots which were
completely shocking for the show fans.

10) The Fall of Brandon Stark-
Do you remember the time when we were all “Sweet Summer Children”?
You probably started watching Game of thrones not knowing what to expect from the show.
Bran’s fall was the first shock Game of Thrones gave it’s fans.
Did your heart skipped a beat too.
I didn’t think Jaime will actually push a child from that window.
God I hated Jaime so much after that.
9) The Birth of Dragons -
Who else thought that Dragons were just a fairy tale in this series?
Or even if there WERE real dragons once, they were all gone from this world?
That’s what Maester Luwin has told Bran, and many characters have said again and again
that Dragons are gone from this world, and along with them the magic is gone too.
Be honest, were you shocked too when Dany rose from the ashes with Drogon, Rhaegal and
Viserys on her shoulder?
I’ll admit I was a little bit confused about how it happened until I read the books.
Only after that I was able to understood HOW Dany was able to hatch these eggs.
Only Life can pay for life and Three lives were paid for Three Dragons.
8) Hardhome -
This scene was shocking for both the book readers and the show fans alike.
Before this scene, we have only seen a few glimpses of what the WW can do.
We actually got to see what happens when the Night King arrives with his army of dead.
The only option you have is run, but once they invade Westeros, how many people will
be able to run and where else will they go?
Winter has finally arrived.
Running is NOT an option anymore but those who fight them, they die and join HIS army.
It’s a good thing that Daenerys has 3 dragons.
They will be very useful against the army of the dead.
I have a feeling that what happened in Hardhome was just a trailer, and we will get to see
the whole film in season 8 in the Great War.
7) Tower of Joy -
If you had read the books, you probably saw the hints dropped all over the series, so
this must have been very predictable for you.
And even if you haven’t read the books, you MUST have heard about R+L=J. But in this
case, I am assuming that if you haven’t read the books, or even heard about R+L=J,
this reveal MUST have been pretty shocking to you.
It turns out Ned hadn’t been unfaithful to Cat, even if he had just got married to
the girl his brother was supposed to marry before leaving for the Rebellion.
When Ned arrives at the Tower of Joy, he finds Lyanna dying from childbirth and she asks
Ned to promise her to protect Jon.
That if Robert finds out, he will kill him.
So, Ned brings Jon back as his bastard.
The only other person who can verify this fact is Howland Reed, in case people don’t
believe in Bran’s abilities.
6) Jon and Sansa’s Reunion
I don’t know about you, but this reunion WAS pretty shocking to me.
After a series of Unfortunate events, I had prepared myself for the dark things happening
in this show.
I even went so far as to prepare myself for ALL the main character’s death.
I was like, now it’s impossible that you can surprise me.
I will not cry anymore.
That’s why when they showed that Sansa was heading for Winterfell, I was really sure
that something will happen, and they won’t actually be able to meet.
I was so wrong.
I think this was the first happy moment for the Stark fans since season 1.
5) Faith Militent Arresting Cersei
When you saw Cersei winning for a time, you probably would have been really mad that Cersei
is getting away with this.
Not only did she arm the faith Militant again, she also gave them power over the king.
At first it seemed like Cersei will successfully get rid of the Tyrells, that the faith militant
were removing her enemies for her.
But then, the tides turned.
It was a really big surprise when the faith suddenly turned on her and threw Cersei in
a cell too, and then made her agree for the walk of Atonement.
4) The Red Viper vs The Mountain
Was Oberyn Martell one of your favourites too?
Tyrion’s knight in the shining armor, or well, without the armor.
Still, admit it, you probably also thought that Oberyn will win.
He was so fast and graceful, it actually felt like he was dancing.
If only he wasn’t so focused on Tywin, he probably would have won too.
But that’s not what he wanted.
He wanted the Mountain to confess that he had killed Elia, and that he had done it on
Tywin’s orders.
Oberyn had already poisoned his spear point.
He knew that one scratch and the Mountain was as good as dead.
We all thought Oberyn had won.
But it was really shocking for the fans when the Mountain tripped Oberyn, and then popped
his head like a melon.
3) Hold the Door
Ever since the series begun, we have heard Hodor only say “Hodor,” and we all assumed
that Hodor was always simpleminded and he couldn’t talk.
But just as usual, Game of Thrones shocked us all when they finally revealed the story
behind it.
It turns out that not only Hodor was Wyllis once, he could also speak.
So far, we have gotten so used to the idea of death that any character’s won’t shock
us anymore.
But this wasn’t one of the main character dying, that’s why it was all the more shocking.
We knew that Bran could travel to the past by this time, but the Three Eyed Raven had
convinced Bran that you CAN NOT change the past.
“The Past is already written, the Ink is Dry.”
But then, this happens.
May be Bran is the ONLY who was able to change the past, or may be The Three eyed raven could
do it too, but didn’t want Bran to know about it?

2) Ned Stark’s Death -
I guess this one is more shocking because this was the first MAJOR death in Game of
Thrones.
I bet you also thought that Ned was one of the main characters and that he won’t die.
Sansa has begged her “Beloved Joffery” for Mercy and Ned was supposed go live with
Jon on the wall.
And then Joffery went ahead and said this.. (clip) You were probably thinking, “No,
he is the main character.
He will be fine.”
But the scene kept moving forward.
And you were probably like, “Any time Now...
Arya go save him.
Yoren?
Anyone?”
And then it happened, and the world was not the same anymore..

Honourable Mentions – Shireen’s sacrifice, Ramsey’s Yummy treat, Drogon saving Dany
in the pits, Jaime’s hand being chopped off and the Purple Wedding.
1) Red Wedding -
The Red Wedding was probably the MOST Shocking moment of my entire life.
We didn’t see Ned’s death coming.
But after he died, you probably thought, “Okay, may be HE wasn’t the main character here.
They won’t kill 2 main characters.
So, now, may be Robb will avenge his death.”
And for awhile, it did seem like that Robb was winning win.
He won every battle he had fought so far.
He even outsmarted TYWIN LANNISTER.
And then they went to the twins, and for a while, it felt like everything will be okay.
I remember feeling hopeful that something good will finally happen, and then, BAM!!
The Rains of Castamere!!
I literally just sat there for half an hour with my jaw dropped to the floor.
I have NEVER been so shocked in my entire life.
Wow.
After this, I prepared myself for the worse things possible.
You’ve probably done the same but I know David & Dan will find some way to shock us
all again.
Anyways, It’s crazy theory time now.
Michael Marsters asked, “CRAZY THEORY TIME, Sansa Stark could become Lady Stoneheart instead
of her mother.
What do you think of that instead of the Standard theory that Arya will become Lady Stoneheart?”
I’ve heard this theory last year too.
But in the season 6 finale, we saw Arya already do something that Lady Stoneheart is doing
in the books, i.e.
Killing Freys.
So, in a way, she has already taken some of Lady Stoneheart’s role.
And I don’t think she will die and come back as LSH.
Winter is upon us now.
And I think that if someone dies in the north and comes back, it will be as a wight.
Anyways, this was the list of Top 10 shocking moments in Game of Thrones.
