- Hey everyone, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls Hairstyles,
and I'm here today with Miss Kamri.
- Hey guys.
- And we're gonna show you guys how to do
a rosette tie back today.
Now, this hair is a fantastic summer 'do,
especially for beachy days or festivals.
- Yeah. - Everything summerish.
I love this one,
love the whole vibe she's got goin' on today.
Big news you guys, Brooklyn and Bailey
just dropped their second original song
called "Simple Things."
You guys can find it by clicking the I right here,
and I know I'm their mom,
so you're not gonna believe me when I say this,
but it really is that good.
- Yeah.
- This song is so good.
Loved it when I helped write it, so I'm gonna love it.
- Come on. (giggles)
- But I loved it when we wrote it together,
and I still love it now,
and Kamri's learning all the guitar for it, too,
so it's so good.
Go check it out.
You can find the link in the description box, too,
if you would like.
And let's get going on the hairstyle.
Okay, to begin this hairstyle,
we are going to take two side pieces from the front
and pull them back towards the middle like this,
and then you're going to with your hands
reach and grab a secondary side piece,
and we wanna switch places.
So we're just creating this nice little looped effect.
In fact, that's what we're going for.
So we're gonna do the same thing on this side,
just switch their places, and then take an elastic
and secure the secondary pieces to each other.
And we want this right at the base of the neck,
at the nape of the neck.
And it's loose, this is supposed to be a nice,
really soft Boho style, so don't do anything too tight.
We want it to be really soft looking.
You see I have lots of texture in the hair,
and it's just very soft.
Now I'm gonna braid the remaining hair.
This is just a normal, three-stemmed braid.
When you get to the end,
secure that with an elastic as well.
And then we're going to pancake just one edge,
so either pick the right edge or the left,
but don't do both.
I'm gonna just pancake the right,
so we're gonna pop these edges out quite a bit.
We're just sort of, you can see I'm just making big loops
with the very outside pieces.
Okay, and now you're ready to make your flower.
So, we popped the right edge,
so we wanna start wrapping our flower to the left.
If you popped the left edge,
then you'd start wrapping to the right, so it's opposite.
And we're just going to begin kind of turn and curl,
and turn, we're winding it up and up and up
like this until it sits right over the elastic.
Then, we're gonna take some bobby pins and secure it
to the rest of the hair.
Okay, and when you're done pinning,
you can just take some hairspray or spray wax
and secure it, like secure the curls
by fluffing with the spray wax or the flower as well
or the sides if you like.
Make sure you pull a little here,
just to add some more texture and volume,
and you are ready to go for some great festival hair.
Hey, let's do the final spin.
So cute, I added little rosette clip
just to mimic the rosette there too.
Darling, do you love it?
- Yeah.
- Hey, guess what you guys, on Friday,
the twins released their second song,
it's an original again, and I love this one.
I was gonna say it's my favorite,
but am I allowed to say that?
I don't know if I am or not.
- It's my favorite.
- It's really, really good.
