how to get a stronger chest and
a more developed chest without going to the gym.
No barbells not even a dip machine, okay?
We're going to use two tools,
just two tools, so here we go.
The first one is a band, the next one is a vest
Don't get intimidated, okay?
So let me just tell you what to do.
This is a one inch band.
You can get this at amazon.com.
You can find a few, 15, 20 bucks
just like a normal band, nothing crazy about it,
nothing awesome about it, this is an inch
one inch, the reason you want an inch
because that's the resistance we're looking for.
So, how to get a bigger or how to get a stronger
chest at home.
What's cool about doing it at home is
first, you don't have to go anywhere.
Throw away that excuse of I need to go
bench press especially on a Monday night.
to go bench press you don't need to go do that
you can do this at home
Here so the band, so the band depending
on the range of motion will add between
20 to 35 pounds of additional resistance
so we don't need to always
add more weight like barbell weight
we use other stuff, so I across my hand
just like this, don't do like this because
it's going to be annoying for your thumb
so like this across your hand it's more comfortable
just like this, okay? And I have it on my back here
You don't want to do this on your lower back
because when you punch its going bring you
back down, that's not necessarily bad,
that's actually an advanced movement
We'll talk about that now.
On top, pushup position, right?
And to correct your head from going up and down
just look forward, explode up.
Now, to make it a little bit or
just tweak it more put it on your lower back
okay so it's like this
okay now this is, my abs are more engaged
this way, a lot more.
So there you have the benefit,
not only is the chest and triceps,
you're going to use your abs its crazy
just by putting the band lower on your back.
Second thing you do,
this vest.
There are tons of vests you can buy online
especially at amazon.com.
I'm going to use this vest and you should know
there are vests that can carry between 20,
sometimes 100 pounds, 100 pounds
so we put this on me, just like this
looks like I'm carrying some bombs right
that's crazy, so very controlled pushups
I'm not going to strap this. I'm just going to show you
if I don't strap myself
so it looks like this
So I needed to strap myself. I was going to show you live
without but I needed to do it, so I strap
myself here and we'll do a pushup
under control,
explode up.
Now you can make it more tighter
just to show you this is how it goes
so I'm going to take this off and I'm
going to show you, I said two tools and
I said two tools and it is two tools
but I'm going to show you
one technique again to increase upper body strength
and again to develop your chest.
Do those pushups do eccentric pushups
so that means on the way down take your time.
I challenge you to do a ten second push up on the way down.
If you can do five, ten second pushups
on the way down you're a badass.
So it looks like this. I'm not going to show you five.
It takes too much time, so here, ten seconds.
On the way up I want to explode.
Cool, now only drawback with eccentric pushups
any eccentric motion like that gets you really sore
some of you don't care about that
some of you are okay with it, totally fine
but just to note, when we do add eccentric pushups
or any eccentric movement exercises you will get more sore
there's more tension in that muscle
for longer period of time, now you have
