I’m Oli Davis, and I’ll be replying to as many comments on this video as I can.
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw unfortunately wasn’t just newsworthy for
its Superstar Shake Up trades.
The show also included several highly dangerous moves.
No, not Jinder Mahal reportedly concussing Finn Balor with a forearm strike, nor Nia
Jax dropping Charlotte on her head, but Braun Strowman deadlifting an ambulance with Roman
Reigns inside.
In a totally appropriate response, WWE fan Jennifer Kuchler has started an online petition
to ‘FIRE BRAUN STROWMAN!’.
“To the WWE we the WWE Universe are not please with Strowman's Actions tonight on
Raw following his brutal attack on Roman Reigns...If this is what you call Entertainment YOU Failed
Miserably...out of everything that I have seen happen this was by far the absolute Worst.”
Braun Stowman sensitively replied on Twitter: “I do what I want when I want and your stupid
petition won't change that!!
#NoOneIsSafe #EveryoneWillFall #YourTearsHydrateMe” I need a ‘Your Tears Hyrdate Me’ slogan
on a t-shirt now.
With the post-Wrestlemania call-ups of Shinsuke Nakamura, The Revival, Tye Dillinger and The
Drifter Elias Samson, NXT’s roster has found itself somewhat gutted once again.
In response to the talent raid, WWE’s developmental promotion have debuted a new theme song and
onscreen graphics.
The redesigned opening montage showcases NXT’s new crop of top stars - Sanity, Ember Moon,
Aleister Black, Asuka, Bobby Roode, The Authors of Pain, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, DIY, Roderick
Strong, No Way Jose, Kassius Ohno, Liv Morgan and Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.
Almas was the only majorly reported post-Wrestlemania call-up that didn’t happen, and him being
in the opening credits hints he’s not debuting on the main roster anytime soon.
But, then again, one other significant NXT wrestler was absent from the opening, meaning
those top stars are still subject to change.
Former WWE star Drew McIntyre - who was released from the company in 2014, and then proceeded
to become one of the hardest working men on the independent scene as Drew Galloway - made
his WWE return / NXT debut (not really sure what to call it, to be honest) on last night’s
episode, beating Oney Lorcan in a hard-hitting match.
Despite being called-up to the main roster, Tye Dillinger still can’t get away from
NXT.
To settle unfinished business, William Regal has announced The Perfect 10 will take on
Eric Young in a steel cage match on next week’s episode.
A stipulation that actually fits the storyline feud, as Young’s Sanity faction members
theoretically won’t be able to interfere.
Sometimes long, well-thought out storylines don’t necessarily culminate in brilliant
payoff matches.
Sadly, that was the case with Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania
33.
Speaking at a Wizard World Q+A last weekend, however, Orton was most upset about his entrance
for WWE’s biggest show of the year.
As reported by Bleeding Cool, while The Viper was pleased with his actual match against
Wyatt, he complained about the entrance ramp’s Playstation 2 graphic of a snake as he walked
down to the ring, saying “The snake looked like a giant sperm”.
He then revealed he has no say whatsoever in how he comes down to the ring at Wrestlemania,
and while he’d love an elaborate Triple H style one, he is often “screwed out of
entrances.”
Randy wasn’t letting the snake thing go, as when a 10-year-old boy asked what The Viper’s
favourite pay-per-view was, Orton replied that he loves the Big Four, but Wrestlemania
can have its negative side because - to a boy no older than 10, remember - you sometimes
have to “ride a giant sperm”.
The latest episode of That WrestleTalk Show is now live, where Luke and I work out who
now has the better roster - Raw or Smackdown?
A Smackdown roster which now includes Kevin Owens.
