In today's episode, we shall discuss about a very interesting incident about Agastya Muni.
Where he drank the whole ocean dry.
Agastya Muni was a Hermit.
He did miracles to help the Gods, whenever they were in a problem.
Drinking the whole ocean dry was one of them.
So why did Agastya Muni do so? Let's find out in this video.
So after the death of Demon King Vritrasura, the demons had no leader to guide them.
After this, all the demons feared the Gods & hid themselves in the bottom of the ocean.
The demons used to get together & plot to kill Indra.
So one of the demons came forward & mentioned,
Indra & the other gods are protected by austerity.
So the demons decided to end this practice.
For that we should kill all the saints.
And then the whole world along with the gods will be destroyed.
So all the demons hatched a plan & attacked the saints when it was dark.
The demons started killing & eating all the saints.
And they returned to the seabed once the sun was up.
And that's how all the demons started killing the saints.
All the prayers & sacrifices were ruined due to the death of the saints, which started bothering the gods.
The Gods couldn't stop the demons from killing the saints & asked Lord Vishnu for help.
The Gods narrated to Lord Vishnu, how the demons killed all the saints & brahmans during the night & return to the bottom of the ocean by day.
After narrating the whole story, they asked him for his help.
Lord Vishnu reacted to this by saying, the demons cannot be killed as long as they are inside the ocean.
So y'all need to figure to run the whole ocean dry.
The Gods couldn't believe what they heard & said how can the ocean that massive turn dry?
Lord VIshnu, asked them to visit Agastya Muni for help.
He is the only one, who can make this possible.
So all the Gods visited to Agastya Muni & started praising him.
An impressed Agastya Muni, asked all the gods what brought them to him?
The Gods requested Agastya Muni to drink the ocean dry.
So that we can kill all the demons hiding in the ocean.
Agastya Muni and the gods reached the shore & in no time he drank all the water in the ocean.
As soon as the ocean was dry, all the gods started killing the demons.
A few demons managed to escape & fled to the underworld.
After killing all the demons, all the gods once again visited Agastya Muni & praised him again,
And requested him to fill up the ocean again.
Agastya Muni told them that the water he drank has been digested so I don't have any water to fill the ocean.
So you need to find a new solution for it.
Agastya Muni's reply confused the gods & they decided to ask Lord Brahma for help.
Lord Brahma said that, only when Lord Bhagiratha lowers the Ganga river (Ganges) from the heavens on earth will the ocean fill up.
Until then, all gods had to wait.
