Mainly the two videos where I adjusted time, to exceed the 64 bit integer limit
... to see what gets broken as a result
Spoiler alert! A lot of things break in those videos
But I haven't really gone into detail about what NBT editing is
... how to do it or what you can change with it
In today's video, I'm gonna cover not only majority of what you can do
But also how it can be a practical tool for even the average Minecrafter to have on their hand
Wanna enable cheats in a world that has them disabled? Done!
Wanna edit your inventory to have 127 item stacks of a particular item? Done!
Wanna add or remove the hardcore tag from your world? This has got you covered
So without any further ado, let's check it out
*cue the intro we all love*
So, here's how an NBT editor works
You find the save folder and open up the level.dat file
Housed within is all the information about your world that Minecraft needs to not only generate a world
Like the seed, world time etc.
But all of the gamerules, everything in your singleplayer inventory, etc.
First up, I'll be checking out what sorts of things you can change about the world itself
how it spawns etc
And later we can see what we can change about a player
Alright, first up the world itself
While you can't already existing chunks using this method since those are stored in chunk files
...and not in the lower data file
You can modify just about everything else
Most of the items on this list can be modified in game as well as through the NBT editor
(the amount of itmes I have had to type NBT already)
But only using the NBT editor can you push these numbers WAY beyond what you can do in-game
(look it's the word in-game again)
So if you wanna modify the time of day to reach the 64 bit integer limit, Done!
But here's what you can't do using commands
Do you wanna unlock the difficulty of your world after it's already been locked? Done!
Do you wanna enable or disable map features like Villagers, Strongholds and Mineshafts after you already created a world?
Done!
Do you wanna allow a commands on a world that has them disabled so you don't have to use the LAN option?
Well, here's the option to do that
Do you wanna enable or disable hardcore mode, thats this option
Do you wanna complete change your world type from superflat to normal, or customized to superflat
... or anything in between? Well, here's your option for that as well
As you can see, you can do a lot with the level.dat file
If you want details about every single option does, I'll be sure to include a link in the description down below
... that gives you detailed information, on every single item!!!!11!oneone!
So, here comes the fun part
Under the player tab in your level.dat file, you can change absolutely everything that can be changed about the player.
From your position and rotation on the map, what speed you're going, what dimension you're in
...what item is within your inventory or enderchest contain
What you're hunger and health are, etc.
Do you want up to 127 of a specific item in your inventory? Not a problem!
Because 127 is the real maximum
... unlike the 64 you normally see
Do you wanna be invulnerable to all types of damage until you wind up dying? Done!
Again, pretty much every setting not pertaining to blocks and items that already exist
... within the world it's self, or internal limits like the thirty million block barrier can be accessed
... using the NBT editor using your level.dat file
But I think I've gone on long enough about what it can do
So i'll leave a link in the discription down below for you guys to try this out for yourself
... along with information about what every single item on the list is all about
I know I didn't cover every single feature in detail, but I didn't feel it was necessary for this video
... because I feel those who are interested, will experiment with it on their own
Plus, I've been feeling a little bit overworked, lately, so I just wanted to do a simple and fun video
... and a quick review of a tool I've been using a lot lately
So, either way, that just about does it from me for now
If you enjoyed, the video, I demand thee to like the video or face the consequences that
... myself, the channel and the video quite a lot
So anyways I hope you all enjoyed
... my names 'AntVenom' and I bid you all farewell
Thanks so much for watching!
