How to install key aliked lock and Union Euro Profile

To proceed door's lock replacement we take off the handle
then remove the outside handle and take out the square spindle
Some door handle may fix the handle and spindle with a screw
And you have to screw off the spindle and just then take off the outside handle
This spindle with a groove that plays the role of lock where tightened screw is locked the handle
Thus, to remove handle you need to find the screw on top or bottom of round handle base and release the screw
Then you need to remove the strike plate
It is attached to the door with couple of screws.
Now you could pull out the profile mortice lock
To swapped this locked we have bought Union euro profile mortice lock 64mm that has identical size
We are going to insert lock cylinder in the new Euro profile
As for cylinder we are going to replace all lock with key aliked system that allow you have just only one key for all lock in the house
No need to have 3 different keys for main door, garage and garden door.
Here we have 3 different lock cylinders and one key open all three locks.
The lock are certified with British standard that recognizable by insurance companies. It is pointless to buy lock with 3 star level of security for wooden door.

In general only one plate opens the dead bolt. This plate could be moved by cylinder’s clutch when key is matched.
Next step to fit the profile to define the holes for cylinder and then extended the current hole
When the hole is ready, fit the cylinder and check it suites well.
Then insert the profile and cylinder and check the lock’s work
Now we may assemble the keyaliked lock
We noticed the dead bolt passes through the hole with some difficulties
It likely touches the hole’s edges
Using the file make the edges are smoother
To attach the outside plate we need to take off the deadbolt knob with a hexagon or torx key
Attach the outside handle, check that it opens and closes the door.
And finally we just enhance the key with a sanded paper
It lets to insert a key more smoothly.
Here you go, lock with key aliked cylinder was installed.
