Topaz Yates back with another album review.
This time to Machine Gun Kelly Bloom.
And I am giving this one a yellow light as it isn't that bad.
With the premise being this is MGK blooming into being an artist which explains why most
of this project he is experimenting with other genres.
This
is one thing that I tell people to avoid because when you make one song for a bunch of different
genres then people will be upset with your album regardless.
But this is an example of doing it right.
See he isn't chasing these other genres instead he is making music being true to himself with
sprinkles of those genres attached.
I feel as though there is potential for something but this project
just isn't it.
But before we breakdown these individual songs first you should peep out
my reviews for the songs at my best and bad things because I spoke on those individually.
Watch those and this becomes more of a full review.
But lets start from the top with the songs I like
and the first is the Gunner.
I liked that
high
energy production and how he set off this album.
Where this song is MGK just spitting and he is much like most emcees.
Not the strongest
lyrically even as he will deliver good punchlines every once in a while.
Instead his strength is his delivery, flow, and overall quality music.
