Mercedes-AMG C43 Estate RaceChip Review

Today we are driving a Mercedes-AMG C43
The Estate edition; you can call it a 'sleeper'
You may have noticed that this isn't a stock car
This car belongs to the guys from RaceChip, I will show you how it works
So, the RaceChip tuning for the C43 AMG
It's something different than the regular chiptuning
Adjusting the ECU software is the way we know chiptuning
But RaceChip is directly connected to the engine
It works with the RaceChip application, to use with any mobile phone
Only when you stand still since you're not allowed to use your mobile phone while driving
The application as some interesting settings
We can turn the RaceChip on but also completely off 0:01:15.000,0:01:20.000 Giving your car keys to your girlfriend or mother?
Turn the RaceChip off and they will have a completely stock car
It won't get any safer!
But we can also go for efficiency
We can save fuel and drive economical but still enjoy some extra power
In the efficiency mode you will have about 20% extra power
The maximum torque will increase but the maximum horsepower will be pretty much the same
Then there is a sport mode which can be called the medium mode
And then there is a race mode; 100% of the RaceChip is now available
It brings the total of the C43 up to 435 hp!
We have now turned off the RaceChip
Now we only have the stock power of 367 hp
And now we will test if that's really the case
We are now going to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h
My feeling says: yes, it feels like it has less power now
Of course we will do it again; now with the 435 hp activated
The mobile app says 'Ultimate Connect Disabled' so I will activate the RaceChip now 0:03:17.000,0:03:22.000 It's now activated and you can see the different modi that are available
I will select the race mode, the engine is hot so no need for the warm-up timer
Starting the engine...
The car is in Sport+, accelerating again in 1, 2, 3
All the different controls are the big different with normal chiptuning
The mobile app is compatible with Android and iOS phones
It has a lot of possibilities like your 0-100 km/h times for example
This AMG is very cool of course but most of you will drive 'normal' cars
What are the chances that your are driving a BMW M, Audi RS or Mercedes-AMG?
The best thing about RaceChip is that is compatible with almost any car!
BMW 1-Series, Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf and many more
For example: a Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI with 110 hp
It can use some more power, especially for on the highway
RaceChip will bring the power up to 150 hp!
When your engine is still warming up and you don't want to ask too much from the engine
Then you don't want the RaceChip to be active
RaceChip designed a warm-up timer which can be set at 10 or 15 minutes
The RaceChip will be activated automatically after the time you have set
Like I said; there are so much possibilities with the RaceChip app

I didn't know that the AMG C43 could be so much fun to drive
