because is so specific. Like, I can talk to you about an eyeshadow quality and you’re
going to find the same quality across the board. When it comes to skin care, everybody’s
experience is going to be different because everybody has different skin. However, we’ve
been talking a little bit on my channel in the past about eye creams because I always
have been searching for, like, a really…the right eye cream for me. And actually I bought
the Fresh rose eye cream in my November haul for the Sephora sale I think and someone asked
me to review that. I have since decided not to because I didn’t have strong enough feelings
towards it. It was good, but it wasn’t good enough for the price. That sorta deal, ya
know? So I decided that I would actually take time to review an eye cream in today’s video
that I do really like. So spoiler I guess, I should have saved the fact that I like it
until the end BUT anyway this is The Body Shop Vitamin E eye cream. It says it has 48
hour hydration, it’s got vitamin E and wheatgerm oil with biofermented hyaluronic acid from
*struggles to pronounce* Pomacle, France. The little blurb about it on the back really
just says “helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles.”
So we’re gonna need a little more info than that so let’s take a look at The Body Shop
website. They’ve actually just redone it now it’s all white and airy, and before
it was very green. I don’t know, I like it. So this is the Vitamin E eye cream. It
is 20-dollars on The Body Shop website, but usually The Body Shop has some sort of three…”buy
three get three free” type sale or buy however many get however many off, so that’s usually
how I buy things. I buy a lot of stuff from The Body Shop all at once, I seldom ever go
and buy one or two things. So I definitely recommend doing that The Body Shop does have
a lot of great stuff AND they actually just changed that rule so if it’s the “buy
three get three free” promo you can add makeup. So if you ever want to try The Body
Shop makeup you can try both things at once COOL! ANYWAY back to the eye cream. “Our
Vitamin E Eye Cream helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles. This formula
hydrates, smoothes and protects the delicate skin around the eye. Now formulated with vitamin
E, plumping hyaluronic acid and wheatgerm oil. Use as part of your personalised skincare
programme Suitable for all skin types. Enriched with vitamin E. Improved formula features
biofermented hyaluronic acid from *struggles to pronounce* Pomacle, France. An iconic best-seller
(Iconic…that’s so funny). Paraben-free. Learn more about the moisturizing benefits
of Vitamin E for skin here.” Naaahhhh we’ll skip that for now. As of me looking at this
right now there’s no other reviews on this! Hmm cool I got to it first! It comes in this…like….
tube here with the little squeeze-y end. I like it better than a pot, because I feel
like a pot you’re going to spread germs and stuff, even if you’re using a little
spatula. Something’s gonna happen because it to air, right? Whereas this way you’re
just squishing a little out onto your finger, you’re putting it on…good times. So the
best way to let you know how I feel about this eye cream is to tell you the story of
how I chose to pick it. So I went to The Body Shop, my thing going into The Body Shop this
day was I needed more of my tea tree oil that I use for spot healing if you will, and I
wanted an eye cream. The eye cream was the goal. So I spoke to the girl that works there.
“Here’s what’s up. I have extremely dry skin around my eyes, like it is so dry
and so crackly it’s AWFUL looking. But I also do have acne prone skin. So a lot of
things that are heavy enough to hydrate around my eyes, also clog the pores.” So….like…I
hate to bash Clinique because you know that I really like Clinique but I did try their
Ultra…whatever it is the really rich eye cream about a year ago and I really liked
it because it really hydrated. But after a couple of days of using it I started to get
really bumpy around my eyes because it was clogging the pores because it was just too
heavy. And then with the Fresh one that I just used it was a very light formula so it
wasn’t clogging my pores but it wasn’t hydrating enough. So I needed something super
hydrating, but not heavy. Seemed impossible, until I found this. This eye cream, I feel
like this eye cream is not the “end all, and be all”. I feel like someday I will
find an eye cream that moisturizes MORE and is lighter. I will find something someday
that I like better than this, but for the price, and for now, I really like this. This
really does hydrate my skin enough so that I’m not crinkley and gross throughout the
day, or at night, whatever I use it in the morning and at night honestly….’cause
why not. It hydrates my skin enough, and it doesn’t clog my pores. That’s all I ask.
That is all I ask from an eye cream. Don’t let me get wrinkles and gross and rough around
here, which I am not, and don’t make me zitty. That’s all I want. And so far this
is the only eye cream that I have found that does both things adequately. There that’s
it. So if you’ve been looking for an eye cream to hydrate really dry eye areas, but
you’re worried about it clogging your pores, I recommend drying this one. I haven’t really
heard many people talk about this and I don’t really hear people talk about The Body Shop
in general on Youtube. I know that some of The Body Shop products, especially their makeup
products, are not the best. So that’s why whenever I find something that’s really
good, I really like to highlight it because The Body Shop is not that expensive and some
of their stuff is really good like this and like a lot of the tea tree line. Thank you
so much for watching make sure you give this video a thumbs up and you subscribe to my
channel if you have not subscribed already and I will see you next time. BYE!!!!
