Previously I posted about a possibility that Frieza might return, now we know how that’s
going to happen.
There’s indeed going to be a change in the originally advertised 10 member team of Universe
7.
Before further discussion let’s check the actual Episode 92 and 93 preview summary or
spoilers as translated by herms.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 92: “Emergency!
We don’t have all 10 members!!”
Airing Date- May 28th
The tournament member Majin Buu ends up unable to participate.
It turns out he’s fallen asleep and definitely won’t wake up again for about two months.
Goku rushes to Buu.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 93: “ You’re the 10th Warrior!
Goku visits Frieza!!”
Airing Date- June 4th.
After seeing with his own eyes that Buu won’t awaken no matter what, Goku suggests recruiting
Frieza as the 10th member.
While everyone objects, Goku hurries to ask Fortuneteller Baba to resurrect Frieza from
Hell for just 24 hours.
So, Buu is the one missing out from the team that we were led to thought will fight.
Well, something weird was going on with Buu, in the opening and ending scenes Buu is shown
to be fat, but in recent episodes we see he trained so hard he got slim and significantly
powerful.
I also made a video regarding that, titled will Majin Buu be fat again, and there I said
that Buu usually never trains.
So after the training, he might get tired, and sleep for a long time, and gain back all
his weight equally fast before the tournament.
But, as it turns out he is going to sleep so long, he will be missing the tournament.
Now, how do I personally feel about this?
Initially, if you saw my last video, I was very pissed off by the idea of a Frieza returning
again in DBS.
As I thought that they are doing too much with a legendary villain, who should just
be left alone, but I should be totally honest with you guys, it was mainly because I was
afraid Frieza was going to replace a human Z fighter, and break my and many other classic
Dragon Ball Fan’s dreams of watching fighter like Master Roshi, Tien, and Krillin in the
battle royal.
But, now that I know he is replacing Majin Buu, I am quite ok with it.
In one of my previous videos, I mentioned the least favorite character of mine from
the 10 man squad is Buu, and if someone were to be replaced I would have him replaced.
It’s not like I hate Buu, I don’t hate a single DB character.
It’s just that I find him comparatively less interesting, and I just didn’t want
him in a serious setting like a survival Battle.
He is just not serious enough; I just don’t get the emotions or the kick from him.
Guys, this arc is going so much like the way I wanted it to, it’s just surprising.
It’s almost like the writers are fulfilling all my wishes.
First, they brought back Roshi and other Human Z fighters in action, something that I would
demand every time someone asked what do you want in Super or what DBS lacks, and now they
are replacing my least favorite character from the 10 man team.
By the way, Buu fans don’t get me wrong or don’t get offended, I don’t hate Buu,
and I am completely ok if you guys are upset that he is not going to participate.
I just shared the way I feel.
So, basically, I think Frieza would be a much more interesting character to watch than Buu.
There would be a lot of guessing going on, like what’s he going to do, if he turns
against us or not.
We might even get something crazy like Vegeta losing control and starts attacking his own
team member Frieza in the middle of the battle or something like that.
Also, Frieza could go head to head with Frost, I think the fans will totally dig that.
They could also use the opportunity, to give us some information about Frieza’s family.
You know it could be like when he meets Frost he talks about their origins or something
like that.
I wonder what Goku is going to bait Frieza with, will he be promised to be resurrected
if they win?
Or will they make a settlement like letting Frieza out of that cocoon that he hates very
much?!
If I am not wrong, the best performer or the best fighter of the battle royal is supposed
to get the Super Dragon Balls.
It’s not going to happen, but they are basically letting Frieza have a shot at the Super Dragon
Balls right!
Now, imagine if he got that.
However, I would still say that I would prefer Cell over Frieza, as that would be much refreshing
to watch since we already revisited Frieza once in Super.
There are obviously questions about Cell’s strength from what we know, but Frieza was
way weaker than Cell before we saw him again in Super.
If the Writers wanted they could make Cell relevant, maybe like saying he found a way
to train in hell, absorbed some other villains or some other creative shit.
I mean they made Frieza SSB equal with 3-4 months of training, nothing new.
Anyways it’s now 99% confirmed that Frieza will join the team replacing Buu.
The 1% possibility I am just keeping for the sake of it, let’s say he gets resurrected,
but he denies to join, then let’s say Vegeta just comes after training in the time chamber,
and to display his immense power he one shot kills Frieza right way, they get Whis to wake
up Buu, but we just don’t have enough time for all that.
Most probably in last episode, they said only 9 hours was left, and we know the Piccolo-Gohan
v Goku-Tien battle is going to take, so after all that I don’t imagine there would be
enough time for such drama.
So, I bet it’s safe to say Frieza is confirmed, I am going to take that little risk.
Besides, actually thinking about, and my emotions or preferences aside; Buu not participating
might actually make a lot of sense, as you know there have been talks about DBS reaching
the ending of Dragon Ball Z pretty soon.
Even the one behind the DBS Manga, Toyotaro said they are really standing on its verge,
and if they indeed reach that point.
Most likely there will be a UUB saga because even Dende mentioned UUB in this arc.
They are already reminding, UUB is the reincarnation of Evil Buu, and thus Majin Buu might get
a good amount of screen time in the UUB saga or future UUB related stories for whatever
reasons.
For this, even though they are excluding Buu from the tournament they made sure to give
him a power boost, as we saw previously he gained immensely by a short training as he
possesses insane potential.
Meaning it would not be hard for him to be relevant in future arcs.
Another thing is they made Buu play in the Zen Exhibition out of all the fighters, as
he will not be in the tournament.
So they made sure even Buu fans get some action.
DBS plot writing has actually been very sensible, specially they are trying their level best
to ensure every character gets their share of the spotlight, and I’m totally loving
it.
Apart from that, I also want to take this opportunity to mention the recently revealed
Spoilers of Dragon Ball Super Episode 90 and 91.
As I have already done separate videos covering these spoilers, I don’t want to make another,
but we do have some extensions of the preview.
So, let’s just go through it in this video.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 90: “ Facing the wall that must be overcome!
Goku vs Gohan” Airing Date- May 14th
The Universe’s destruction is on the line at the “Tournament of Power”.
The ten members of the Universe 7 team lead by Son Goku have finally been decided.
With a little time left before the tournament, Goku and Tien team off against Gohan and Piccolo
for a training match.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 91: “Which Universe will prevail?!
The mightiest warriors Assemble!!”
May 21st
In the training match, Gohan displays enough power to hold his own against Goku, showing
that he’s grown stronger than ever before.
Meanwhile, Vegeta heads to Dende’s Lookout to start training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
So, the training really went well for Gohan.
This might be crazy, but they might even imply Gohan can go on par with Goku, but that is
till Goku reveals his new level of power in the tournament.
In the Episode 90 preview, we see Gohan urges Goku to use his 100% power, meaning Goku will
probably go Super Saiyan Blue, and Gohan will be able to handle that, but in the preview
he only goes up to SSJ2, the rest remains to be seen, but the fact that Gohan is challenging
Goku in such a passionate manner from being a guy who lost interest fighting to this is
a huge improvement, and promises us that Gohan will play a major role in this arc as well
as in the future arcs.
On the other hand, Vegeta is going into the time chamber; this will cover up the rustiness
he might have got due to not training for being with Bulma.
We don’t exactly know for how many hours Vegeta will be the chamber, but he is going
to get more training than anyone else.
Logically he has a shot at becoming the strongest of U7 even stronger than Goku if you take
this in account, just how much time he is getting to train, but DBS don’t always be
that logical.
So, let’s see where he stands after the training.
It would be better if he took someone with him in the chamber, that way another fighter
get a massive boost.
So let’s what happens.
