of us have grown up watching this kid travel across the various regions with his trusty
Pikachu, collecting gym badges, defeating powerful trainers, discovering new legendary
pokemon, and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what Ash Ketchum has been through over
the years. Whether you watch the anime now or you don't watch it anymore, it’s safe
to say that this ten year old pokemon trainer has caught his fair share of strong pokemon,
and has acquired some pretty formidable teams along the way. With the strong Pokemon that
Ash has caught though, quite a handful of them have also evolved, making his team even
stronger, allowing him to win even more difficult battles. With that being said, today’s video
counts down the top five strongest evolved Pokemon owned by Ash. Don’t hesitate to
drop a comment down below about the video and if you found it interesting or not! Don’t
forget to leave a like on this video too to show your support and I’ll be sure to bring
out a new video very shortly. Make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already to keep
up to date and without further ado let’s get into the video and I really hope that
you enjoy!
Starting things off and claiming the number five spot in today’s top five video is Ash’s
Goomy, who eventually evolved into Goodra. Goodra was Ash's first Kalos Pokémon to fully
evolve, and was also Ash's first pseudo-legendary Pokémon, so straight away, you can already
see why it’s made the list. Goodra has been used in many tough battles, most notably though
would be the battle for the Voltage Badge. Ash had Goodra use Rain Dance to cancel out
Luxray's Electric Terrain on the battlefield and cure its paralysis via its Hydration ability.
Although it was hit by Thunder Fang, Wild Charge and Swift, Goodra managed to endure
Luxray's attacks and launched a powerful Bide. The blast did a huge amount of damage to both
Pokemon, but despite this, Luxray was finally knocked out, giving Ash the victory and earning
him the Voltage Badge. Goodra was also used in the Semi-finals against Sawyer. It went
up against his Slurpuff. Even though both sides battled hard, Goodra and Slurpuff knocked
each other out, resulting in a double knockout. Goodra was so strong that it did not lose
a single trainer battle until Down to the Fiery Finish! For Goodra’s overwhelming
strength, and for the aid that it had given Ash throughout his journey, it earns itself
a place in today’s video.
Coming in at the number four spot in today’s top five video is Treecko, who evolved into
Sceptile. Sceptile was caught while he was a Treecko during the events of Trees of A
Crowd, and was the second Pokémon Ash caught during his journey in the Hoenn Region. In
Exploud and Clear, Treecko evolved into Grovyle whilst battling a powerful Loudred, who later
evolved into Exploud. It has a strong rivalry with Exploud and tries its best to stop Exploud
from its own rampage. In the end, both Pokemon continue to challenge themselves in the battle.
After evolving, Grovyle was often used in the Hoenn region, notably being able to defeat
Norman's Slaking and Winona's Altaria despite having type disadvantage against the latter.
In the Hoenn league tournament, Grovyle defeated Katie's extremely powerful Walrein as well
as Morrison's high-leveled Steelix and held his own against Tyson's Metagross. Before
Grovyle evolved, it lost its ability to use any of its attacks since its heart was broken
when Meganium fell for a wild Tropius instead of Grovyle. After seeing Meganium in danger,
Ash's Grovyle evolved to try and protect it to no avail. Later, Sceptile finally regained
all of its moves as well as the new and powerful Solar Beam attack. Sceptile used Solar Beam
to defeat Spencer's Claydol. Sceptile was later used in an unofficial battle against
Pyramid King Brandon and his Regirock when its trainer was possessed by the King of Pokélantis.
However, despite having a type advantage, it lost. Sceptile is an expert at the move
Leaf Blade, which is also its signature move. It was even able to defeat Tobias' Darkrai,
who was considered to be virtually unbeatable, with a powerful Leaf Blade, becoming the only
known Pokémon to have defeated the legendary Pokémon. Being able to defeat a legendary
pokemon has rewarded Sceptile with the number four slot in today’s top five video.
Coming in at the halfway point in today’s top five video is Charmander, who eventually
evolved into Charizard. Charizard as a Charmander was loyal, to the point of being naïve; he
believed his trainer, Damian, would come back for him. After evolving into Charmeleon, his
happy personality and loyalty disappeared, the reason being that Charmeleon's own skill
level excelled that of Ash's and as such, it didn't respect him for no apparent reason,
becoming slightly arrogant and overconfident. His personality did not change much, when
he evolved into Charizard, however, he rarely obeyed Ash's orders, and occasionally uses
his Flamethrower on him, to stop Ash from recalling him or when his trainer irritates
him, he would also embarrass Ash. After Charizard was frozen by Poliwrath's Ice Beam, throughout
the night, Ash resolved to keep Charizard warm, rubbing it with his hands to provide
heat in the form of friction, which risked rubbing his hands raw. Before the night ended,
Ash told Charizard that he only wanted to be good enough for it and reminded Charizard
of how long they had been together since Charizard was a Charmander, which Charizard recollected
on that day, After seeing his efforts to save him from certain death, he feels remorseful,
for how badly he treated his trainer, Charizard's loyalty to Ash returned in full force. Calling
upon it on numerous occasions, Charizard would become one of Ash's most valuable and trusted
Pokemon. Charizard helped Ash in his battles with Luana and Drake, fighting alongside Pikachu
against Luana's Marowak and Alakazam. Narrowly defeating Drake's Electabuzz with Seismic
Toss, Charizard then battled Drake's Dragonite. Even with the damage it had taken in its battle
with Electabuzz, it held its own against the more experienced Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon.
Charizard was used in Ash's first Johto Gym battle, and defeated Falkner's Pidgeot with
Seismic Toss. Charizard was also used in many other trainer battles, easily winning every
battle. Even though it was unloyal in the Kanto region, Charizard is still one of Ash’s
strongest Pokemon and so, claims the number three spot in today’s top five video.
Claiming the number two spot in today’s top five video is Chimchar, who later evolved
into Infernape. This pokemon was originally Paul's as a Chimchar but with Paul later abandoning
it after deeming it to be nothing more than a weakling, Ash subsequently stepped in and
offered Chimchar a chance to join his team, with Chimchar gladly accepting. Under Ash's
care, Chimchar evolved into Monferno and later Infernape while also helping Ash win many
key battles in terms of Gym battles in Sinnoh or fights against other rival trainers as
well as Team Rocket. After joining Ash's team, Chimchar weakened Maylene's Meditite and Lucario,
defeated Fantina's Drifblim and Mismagius, Byron's Steelix and Bronzor and Candice's
Abomasnow, adding many defeated opponent’s to Chimchar’s list. After evolving into
an Infernape, it was later used in a battle against Flint's Infernape, but lost due to
its lack of experience compared to Flint's. This was Infernape's only defeat since it
evolved, and it has won every other battle it was in. Infernape had a major role in Ash's
gym battle in Sunyshore Gym where it easily defeated Volkner's Jolteon and used its fully
controlled Blaze to defeat Volkner's Luxray with a powerful Flame Wheel. Infernape learned
Flare Blitz in Working on a Right Move!, knocking out Brock's Sudowoodo in a practice battle.
He later faced off against Paul's newly evolved Aggron with Flare Blitz which burns it and
proceeded to deliver a Mach Punch, defeating Aggron. Infernape battled Paul's Electivire
in the final battle between Ash and Paul, becoming victorious and awarding Ash the full
battle against his long-time Sinnoh rival and ending their rivalry. For all of these
reasons, Infernape claims the second spot in today’s top five video.
Finishing things off though and claiming the number one spot is of course, Froakie, who
eventually evolved into Greninja. Greninja is a Water and Dark-type Pokémon that was
owned by Ash and was the first Pokémon he obtained in the Kalos region and easily became
one of his strongest partners. Greninja battled against Sawyer and his newly evolved Sceptile.
During the battle, he used his special form and defeated Sceptile. Little did Greninja,
Ash and the others know, a trainer named Alain was watching the battle and witnessed him
changing form. Alain was amazed at Greninja's strength, which was a form that he has never
seen before, and decided to battle Ash to test Greninja's form. In the battle, Alain
Mega Evolved his Charizard while Greninja activates its special form. But even though
Greninja had a huge advantage over Charizard, Greninja wasn't able to keep up with Mega
Charizard X's power and was easily defeated. This was of course the Ash Greninja form.
Greninja also beat the gym leader Wulfric, rewarding Ash with the Iceberg Badge and qualifying
him to enter the Kalos League. Later on, Ash entered the Lumiose Conference and used Greninja
against Titus and his Altaria. During the battle, Greninja used his Ash-Greninja form
and defeated Altaria, surprising everyone in the stadium. Ash's Greninja has been the
first and only Pokémon of Ash's that battled a Champion's ace Pokémon, held its own, even
overpowering it and nearly winning and because of this, has earned himself the last slot
in today’s video.
