story.
Our tale starts all the way back in the far far past in the distant year of 2010.
Back then life was much simpler, I didn’t have to worry about being called a normie
or whether or not my metabolism could handle a milkshake, or if it’s gonna go straight
to my thighs.
Listen you guys ,don’t get old…it sucks .
The internet was a much simpler place as well.
Our memes focused on cats, dumb cats, funny cats, crazy cats and occasionally racist cats.
You know… traditional stuff.
But Much like today, some of the earlier viral memes to become popular on the internet focused
on music.
Now let me tell you guys, prior to this meme I was under the assumption that the best way
to get girls with music was if you played guitar…or sang… maybe played drums…
Maybe even if the girl was drunk enough bass.
I mean cmon, no girl goes to a concert with the intention of sleeping with the bass player.
But past those instruments no other instrument would get you laid.
Especially brass or woodwind instruments.
You know things like, the trumpet, the clarinet ,the tuba, the saxophone!
Those instruments were for the pizza faced marching band geeks that never got laid or
for the lisa simpsons of the world.
They were not for lady slaying vag masters that most men aim to be.
It only took one man to change my whole opinion on everything.
A man named Sergey Stepanov , but most people have come to know him as epic sax guy!
You see sergey is a part of a musical group known as sunstroke project.
In 2010 they were part of the longest running international tv song competition known as
the eurovision song contest.
Look I’m not gonna act like I know anything about this contest other than what I plagiarize
from wikipedia but it seems like a pretty big deal because it has been broadcast each
year since 1956! you know, 1956.
Back when your grandma was young, hot and looking for the D from ol’ grandpa.
Yeah…your grandma and grandpa once had sex.
It happened.
life… is… weird…
Apparently the contest is kinda like a version of the olympics but instead of sports and
corruption it is focused on music.
Each country that participates does so by submitting an original song to be played by
a band or musician from that country.
The song is then performed on live tv and is voted on until a winner is chosen.
Epic sax guy and his band performed in 2010, representing their country of Moldova.
Wait….what is Moldova?
Am I even pronouncing that right?
Is that really a country?
I passed geography and have never even heard of it.
Well, apparently it is a country.
It’s right next to the Ukraine and Romania.
What can I say?
I went to public school in America…My bad.
So why is the epic sax guy so epic? did his song win the contest?
Well…not exactly.
in fact they did quite poorly in the contest coming in at 22 out of 25 contestants.
But that doesn’t matter.
On the stage that night a star was born when Sergey performed his saxophone solo during
the performance of their song titled “run away”.

My god…that god like melody.
His clothes.
The gyrating of the hips.
Needless to say all the ladies within a 10 foot proximity of Sergey suddenly became pregnant.
The internet loved the clip as well!
With it quickly becoming viral and gaining millions of views in the process!
Naturally with the popularity of the video came its use within memes!
Epic sax guy quickly became popular spreading far and wide and in various ways.
“Smooth jazz will be deployed in 3…2…1…”
It soon became a common piece of internet culture before eventually fading to the background
and not being as prominent as it once was.
But that all changed in May of 2017 when epic sax guy made a new appearance with his band
in the 2017 Eurovision song contest.

This new performance reignited the love that the internet had for the epic sax guy.
But sadly his band didn’t win this year either, although they did rank far better
than they did in 2010 coming in at 3rd place.
Who knows?
Maybe next year they’re gonna finally win first place and we’re all gonna get a new
epic sax guy performance.
So there you have it!
What started off as a music instrument that is hard to get laid with quickly changed when
one man took the stage to alter the worlds opinion with his sensual melodies!
