Topaz Yates back with another album review.
This time to DJ Khaled Grateful and I am giving this one a solid yellow light.
See this project is a lot like the NBA all star game.
You have a bunch of big names that you like to see on the court.
They are all together having fun but none of them are going in like it is the NBA Finals.
That is why a lot of these tracks aren't really that strong.
Yet what makes this
some of the best of these types of projects is how involved DJ Khaled actually is here.
See you can tell the theme is being greatful and overall happy for the birth of his son.
Especually with the songs I reviewed leading up to this project in Shinning and to the
max.
As he gave his son the executive producer tag and this is something to think about.
See this happens all the time not just in music but also but in movies as well.
The do nothing executive producer.
This happens because one persons name can sell more than others so they pay an individual
that had nothing to do with it to slap their name on top.
Now the way DJ Khaled is taking here is setting up his son for the
future.
Because when all of this is long forgotten his son can cling on to the
fact he executively produced a project that could potentially go platinum.
I am not sure but some of the singles may already have.
But so
there are a ton of
songs
on
this project so instead of touching on all of
them
I
will jump from highlight to highlight, starting
with
On Everything.
