You can see I have rearranged everything, now sitting at my desk.
I am not in front of the greenscreen, but maybe it will make a return soon.
Let‘s talk about Ireland. Ireland is not only giving us
St. Patricks Day, lots of beer and leprechauns (which are prejudices),
but today it is giving us Trance.
Which somehow fits Leprechauns.
Dobie is a Trance producer from Ireland.
And he is the manifestation of electronical upbeat.
So let‘s give todays‘ track a listen: Ballade Pour.
You can pronounce Ballade Pour english or french… but here we go:
So this is only about one electronic track, but this one really presses you into your seat from start to finish.
Trance as a genre feels like vintage-futurism.
Ballade Pour could aswell be the soundtrack to some kind of futur-high-speed-racing-game
where the cars drive so fast you get pushed into your seat. Get it?
I have not heard a comparable uprise in any other track for quite some time.
And I listen to a lot of electronic music.
Ballade Pour has a great mixdown, so
the track and Dobie are above the standard electronic music production level.
…and…
I‘m not sure how the audio quality is on YouTube, but listen to it with headphones.
And listen to it on ReverbNation, links are below, of course.
When I heard the track for the first time, I thought the vocals were not the perfect fit for this track. They are
usual Trance vocals. Female, but a little bit to airy.
Using this whispered voice.
But if you listen to the track more than once, you notice it starts to fit, because
it switches between eerie singing and spoken word.
Like this, Ballade Pour seems to tell a story of the eternal ups and downs of existing.
…
Well, as long as you ask me.
The lesson is clear: Ballade Pour is Trance with a lot of thought behind it.
It definitely is different from the majority of currently produced electronic music.
Personally I would not play it as a DJ, but that‘s more because I usually do not play Trance.
I could see Ballade Pour as the soundtrack for doing something with lots of adrenaline.
Like car races. Or downhill mountainbiking.
Something with speed, acceleration and focus.
If you want to give it a listen, you can do so on ReverbNation, YouTube and more. Links are in the description.
Please do not forget this review is paid for.
It still tells my own, personal opinion.
That‘s it for today. See you next time.
