this episode turned out to be very instrumental in terms of building up the hype for The Battle
Royal or The Tournament of Power.
Goku and Frieza came to an agreement, and yeah Frieza will be fighting for Universe
7, we will also get to see Kale transforming into The Legendary Super Saiyan form, Another
God of Destruction is conspiring to do something shady with U7.
So, overall the episode had a variety of materials, and it’s a near perfect pre-main event type
of episode you could say.
The episode was able to give us moments that kept us entertained during the episode, and
with those moments alone they were able to raise a lot of questions regarding what might
happen in the coming episodes.
The aim of all the episodes before The Tournament of Power is to hype us up and keep us emotionally
invested.
In terms of that, this was a 5 star episode.
Now, surprisingly enough Whis was today’s show stealer for many fans.
He revealed shocking information that must make us re-think what’s going to happen
in the tournament of power.
According to which Whis said, there is a mortal in another participating Universe, and he
is stronger than the God of Destruction of that Universe.
By the way, that God of Destruction is said to be stronger than even Beerus, even though
Beerus argues not to make such conclusions as he only lost an arm wrestling with him.
So, this is an entirely new level of power that our fighters will have to deal with,
we don’t have any information confirming that Goku or Vegeta has yet surpassed Beerus.
Even though from a logical calculation, we can say they are almost there, but if Universe
7 has to win the tournament, what would it mean?
What would it mean for U7 to win a tournament where there are fighter or fighters who are
stronger than Beerus.
Would it mean that Goku and Vegeta would be on par with Beerus if not stronger?
Granted that you don’t necessarily have to be the most powerful to win the Battle
Royal.
As a lot will depend on Technique, Strategy and also luck!
However, a warrior who can’t even be defeated by a God of Destruction most probably will
be that skilled too.
It takes a certain amount of warrior instinct to be able to gain powers of such levels.
Whoever it is, I wonder if he also has hold of the God Ki or maybe even an upgraded type
of it.
Anyways, who do you think it could be?
Till now from what has been promoted, Universe 11 is going to be the strongest rival, and
the most hyped up fighter from U11 is Jiren.
We can see that in the intro, and also know from the words of Toppo.
So, if it’s someone we already know it has to be Jiren, but if it’s someone who is
going to be introduced in the tournament it could be anyone who is not from Universe 7,
4,9,10 or 11.
Either way if there’s really someone like that, I am really interested to see how he
gets dealt with.
But, thinking slightly out of the box, it just could be that Whis lied in order to ensure
that Goku and the Gang bring the best team, and is ready to give their 100%!
Just like last time Beerus used Monaka to bait Goku and Vegeta into training harder
in preparation for the tournament.
Some fans were saying what if that mortal is from a Universe that is not participating.
That shouldn’t be the case, because Goku asked about the Battle Royal, and when Whis
said they finalized the decision of inviting Frieza.
While it might not be the most convenient thing to do, it’s still better than getting
totally wiped out.
So Goku goes to hell, and he is like look Frieza.
You used to rule stuff once, you killed my dad, you destroyed my planet, but things have
changed now.
This hell is your prison, you are a slave, and I am your master.
Then, Frieza was trying to make some demands, but Goku is like woah!
Woah!
Wowh!
Which part of you my bitch did you not understand?
You are going hang here forever; I’ll make you fight for me when I want to, just like
you did with the Saiyans, and you are going to do exactly what I tell you to.
Anything you get is out my kindness.
Okay, jokes apart, Goku does come to some kind of an agreement with what Frieza desires,
because Frieza, after all, is going to be among one of the 10 guys on whom the existence
of the entire Universe depends.
So, he got to keep him motivated.
Goku mentions how Frieza could just win the Super Dragon Balls by being the best performer,
but Frieza wants to gets resurrected even if that doesn’t happen by Earth’s Dragon
Ball.
Well, Goku promises him that, but I would advise Frieza to not take that for granted.
I mean Goku didn’t even restore King Kai’s life yet but Imagine King Kai’s reaction
if Frieza gets resurrected by Goku before him.
Anyways Frieza flashed his power, and it looked really cool when he went Golden.
Frieza might be slightly stronger now; all that anger due to hanging might have assisted
that.
Besides, he is one of a kind, he is the type of guy who keeps getting stronger even while
fighting, his potential is that high.
So, unless Frieza joins with Frost and turns against U7, he is going to be a great addition
to the team.
However, he shouldn’t be turning against U7 because his existence is linked to it,
he should rather aim to be the best performer and get the Dragon Balls.
We, get a look at Universe 4, and in my opinion, they get added to the disappointing Universes
list, along with U9 and 10.
Universes that won’t probably do to well in the tournament!
Because, they are more concerned about creating chaos for U7, than concentrating on their
own team, and that is undoubtedly not a good model.
If you see U11, all they care about is forming their team perfectly, and that is what matters
the most.
Universe 4’s God of Destruction Quitella, is antagonistic towards Beerus, he looks like
the character Jerry, and yeah DBS is probably playing the Tom and Jerry joke here since
the design of Beerus was inspired by a Cat.
I like how the Dragon Ball Universe got extended, and we now have all types of characters that
we have seen in other fictional Universes, giving DB enough materials to run forever.
So, Quitella sent over a Spy to U7, like the countries of the real world do with other
countries.
CIA agent of U4 you could say, and finds out that U7 is getting emperor of evil Frieza
from Hell.
So, he wants to create obstruction here, his ultimate motive obviously is to cause problems
for Beerus.
Not sure what he will do, but it looks like it might be something Frieza centric.
Back in Zen Exhibition, Quitella witnessed U9 getting smashed by U7, so he knows Sidra
has grudge against U7.
So, he might influence Sidra into doing the dirty work.
From the preview, my guess they’ll just send a group of assassins, and I think it
will be taken care of by the U7 fighters collectively as they are all together and they should be
able to do the job without much difficulty, and then they’ll head for the Tournament.
We only have like 1 and a half hours to go, so this is probably going to be the last even
before the start of the ultimate Battle Royal.
Okay, finally about the biggest deal of the episode.
Kale’s berserker transformation!
Now, Caulifla achieved the Super Saiyan form in more of a methodical way.
As Cabe was there to explain to her how to do it, and many fans are pissed off about
how they are going Super.
Look, I understand that we all have a lot of emotion attached to how Goku, Vegeta or
others first went Super but putting emotions aside what we have to understand is.
These Saiyans are from a different Universe and has evolved in a better way.
Most importantly they are extremely powerful, Cabe in his base form alone is more powerful
than when Goku or Vegeta first turned Super, SSJ2 or as such.
It was ridiculous for someone that could battle SSB Vegeta’s base form to not even be able
to go Super.
In other, words their potential was overflowing, given the guidance, they are able to achieve
a form that they should’ve got a long time ago with ease.
Due to having high potential we even saw Goten who basically went Super by training with
Chi Chi, So, this concept isn’t all that new.
Since, the form was long overdue expect unusual outcomes, like Kale achieving a form that
totally looks like The Legendary Super Saiyan form of Broly, I am going to call it that
unless they give us a different name.
It was a treat to watch for the Broly fans, a lot of striking similarities.
The first thing Broly said after transformation, ‘ You Kakarot, I choose you to be the first
of my victims’, and the first thing Kale said after transforming was ‘ Cabe, I’ll
start by finishing you.’
Then later on Kale goes on to say one of the most popular Broly lines ‘Ki is increasing..
overflowing..’!
All her ki attacks were also like Broly, and yeah it was pretty intense.
I really enjoyed it.
Kale’s transformation, like mentioned by Caulifla was triggered by anger as opposed
to how Caulifla got it following Cabe’s advise, and now Caulifla also has the SSJ
2 transformation which ultimately saved Cabe by getting hit from a powerful blast by Kale.
It’s a bit confusing about what’s up with Kale though, she is kind of weird you know.
Looks like she has a crush on Cabe, and is thus getting angry when Caulifla was getting
friendly with Cabe; Caulifla also referred to call as Sister, but we are not sure if
it’s literal or you know in that other way.
It could also be a master-student thing, and that Kale badly wants Caulifla’s attention
and recognition, and she was desperate to live up to her expectation.
I really liked how Caulifla was holding Kale, the bonding can be felt, and I bet you all
are waiting for them to explore this relationship.
We will have to wait to find out more on that.
Well, that’s about all for now, comment your thoughts and opinion down below.
See you in the next, Dragon Ball Super video.
