Happy ‘Who’s Your Daddy’ Day A happy belated Father’s Day for yesterday
to any man who’s produced another human being.
WWE celebrated the day in its own time-honoured, special way - beating someone in their hometown
while their father sat looking on at ringside.
So thoughtful.
Someone who didn’t get a Happy Father’s Day wish, though, was currently injured NXT
wrestler Tommaso Ciampa - who had recently turned on his best friend forever Johnny Gargano
at NXT TakeOver: Chicago.
“I'm disappointed you didn't break your silence to wish me a Happy Father's Day...
#WhosYourDaddy #CiampasYourDaddy” Jinder Mahal Denies Steroid Use
Back to Money in the Bank in St. Louis, Jinder Mahal looked very strong beating Orton in
the middle of the ring.
And according to some, maybe too strong.
Since the Modern Day Maharaja returned to WWE last August, his body has been increasing
in muscle mass and decreasing in body fat.
His body fat percentage now actually stands at Finn Balor percent.
This has brought accusations of steroid use against the current WWE Champion.
‘No Carbs’ Jinder has made his latest response to these, posting a workout video
- where he trains with Sheamus - and the caption: “Would you like to see more of the work
and training that goes into being The WWE Champion??
Thinking of making this a regular occurrence...I'm sure some of you will suggest I don't, just
so you can continue making "steroid" and "wellness policy" comments, without seeing the work
that goes in.
In an attempt to temporarily make yourselves feel better about the discomfort you have
with your self, as a result of all the work you are NOT doing…
But please, if it makes you feel significant in any way, keep them coming..
I know I look good!”
Just look at the guy.
He’s ripped.
I can see the veins in his arms.
He’s got a giant chain around his neck.
And it’s all because he doesn’t eat pizza!
Dammit pizza.
Mae Young Classic Competitors Announced The first ever Women’s Money in the Bank
match might have been a history-making botch - it was kind of won by a man - but at least
the upcoming Mae Young Classic still looks promising.
WWE have officially announced its first four competitors - current Progress Women’s Champion
Toni Storm, NXT wrestlers Lacey Evans and Sarah Logan and lucha libre star Princesa
Sugehit.
In addition to these, PWInsider are reporting former TNA wrestler Rosie Lottalove - now
called Mary Kate - Danielle Kamela, who was trained at Rikishi’s school, Canadian model
and MMA fighter Julia Ho, former Chikara GRAND Champion Kimber Lee, Brazilian black-belt
Taynara Melo, and WWE developmental talents Bianca Blair, Zhao Xia and Victoria Gonzales
will join them.
Becky Lynch might have let another name slip during an interview to the Hindustan Times,
where she talked about how excited she is to see UFC fighter Shayna Baszler in the tournament.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, someone else is in talks to return for the event,
former WWE wrestler-screw it, I can’t help it anymore.
I can’t stop thinking about the pizza.
Oh god, that’s good.
Farewell, sweet, sweet six pack.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, former WWE star Serena Deeb is also in talks for the
Mae Young Classic.
To quell the New Day ‘who?’
chants in the comments section below, Serena Deeb is best known for her role in CM Punk’s
Straight Edge Society faction with Luke Gallows and Joey Mercury in 2010, where she infamously
shaved her head for the group’s initiation ceremony.
While she only wrestled one match on the main roster, Deeb wrestled in OVW for four years
beforehand, where she won the Women’s Championship six times.
She wrestled on the indies following her WWE release in 2010, and eventually retired in
2015.
If she does return, hers could be the veteran redemption storyline for the tournament.
My review of Smackdown’s Money in the Bank show is available to watch right now.
And Big Show has heavily criticised WWE TV.
