Hey guys!
It’s me.
What’s up?
This week we’re talking about my favorite social media platform
besides Youtube, of course,
Instagram!
I’m still in constant awe of the people who have accounts with over 100,000 followers.
100K!
That is a lot of people to convince to click the follow button on your page.
So these people must be doing something right.
In this episode of Try Living With Lucie, instead of having you guys try to live like
me, I thought that we, together, could try to live like other people.
How does that sound?
So for the next five days I’m going to hit up one famous Instagrammer each day, each
in a different category, and we’re going to go see what their lives are like, how they
do what they do, and how they achieved such a huge following.
Category number one: food bloggers.
I feel like almost everyone on Instagram tries to be a food Instagrammer.
But what really sets some of these accounts apart is when they have an additional element
that the followers just can’t find elsewhere.
For instance, babies.
I hung out with foodbabyny, a family of four who are all–as a collective unit—considered
to be foodbaby.
We’re all foodbaby.
But I think Mike is the real foodbaby.
We started dating when we were seniors in high school and I feel like one of our biggest
connections was food.
I would say it really started when I was on maternity leave.
We were ordering up sushi.
Michael had it all sprawled out on the table, took a photo, and kind of by accident Matthew
ended up in one of the corners of one of the shots.
And he noticed that the photos did a lot better when the babies were in the shot.
They’re totally family goals and the kids are so cute and so much fun to hang out with.
And I am crossing my fingers sitting here hoping that they adopt me into their family
and make me the fifth food baby.
We bought some donuts together and then we spent the afternoon together in New York City
doing what they do.
I definitely get more creative when they are sleeping.
They don’t stop moving.
You can already see, they never stop.
I’ll usually try to just run...go in front of them without disrupting them too much.
And chill.
And see what happens.
I can’t believe she’s wearing the hat.
It’s very difficult to get a photo where the food’s in focus and they’re mostly
in focus behind it.
So it’s challenging.
Look at the donuts!
Whoa.
So what I’m doing now is what I...I might have gotten a good one
but I’m still taking some.
So how many do you take to get the right shot?
I probably have a couple hundred already.
Okay, so let’s see what I got.
Took a ton of photos.
We go everywhere together.
We never split up when we are, as a family, with the babies.
The only time I’m ever slept away from Matthew is when I was in the hospital for two nights
with Samantha.
So I mean, we’re two people that we loved dating, and we loved being married, and now
we love being a family.
So I’m the one that takes all the photos, but it’s impossible without Alex.
Other than her actually having birthed them, it’s also impossible for having to run it
without her.
Smile Sammy!
You are a little star!
That’s a baby!
You are the biggest foodbaby in the world.
Can I have a little kiss on my nose?
So you’re basically just hanging out with food and kids.
What could be better?
Unless you get a puppy.
Well yeah.
We’re good.
I’ll give him another food baby before we get a dog.
Yeah?
Cheers.
To foodbaby.
I’m part of the family, right?
Please adopt me.
Please.
Um, Matthew.
If you wouldn’t mind, I am dying for some peanut butter panda puffs,
peanut butter panda puffs.
Dad, we raided the fridge and somebody is now one less cup of peanut
Butter
Oh my god that is good.
This week we’re doing something a little bit different where we’re splitting each
day into its own separate video.
