Topaz Yates back with another daily review.
This time to Macklemore Glorious featuring Skylar Grey.
I am giving this one the yellow light because it isn't that good of a song but I enjoyed
aspects of it.
I like Skylar Gray even as this wasn't her best.
I enjoyed the content of what he is speaking of here even as we aren't getting potent punchlines.
Which that simply isn't his strength but the content matter is solid.
As this song is ultimately looking at his life on all the things he has accomplished
thinking its cool but what has he done for humanity.
What is glorious is his opportunity to turn that around.
He emphasizes this by saying how you die twice, once in the grave and the last time someone
says your name.
Which is real talk, he means you also die when you are forgotten as he is letting us
know that he wants to be remembered.
He furthers this by saying things are just things and don't make you who you are, can't
uhall and take it
with you when you are gone.
That is true, we spend our lives trying to get
this success, money, etc. but
in the grand scheme of things mean nothing.
There is a reason why
people are still making movies on Tupac, dropping new music, and
it is all because of the impact
he left on people.
