In other words, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum are everyone's #relationshipgoals.
But even in their complete and total perfection, Jen and Chan also have their little quirks
like anyone else.
Here are some odd things you may not know about Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum's
marriage.
They hide nothing
Where most celebrity couples tend to keep their private lives on the down-low as much
as possible, Jenna and Channing have always been extremely open about basically every
aspect of their relationship.
In fact, the media was in on things from day one.
After falling for each other while filming Step Up, the couple spent a lot of time talking
about each other on camera during the promotional tour for the film — and nobody could miss
the fact that they were obviously and totally in luuuuuurve.
So where some marriages might implode under all that public pressure, these two seem to
just fall more and more deeply in love with every joint appearance, interview, or intimate
moment shared on Instagram.
Aww.
The thong song
Not only do the Tatums love to mix business with pleasure, Jenna apparently enjoys an
unprecedented level of control over her husband's on-screen attire… not to mention his co-stars.
So if you've been wondering who to thank for all those epic shots of beefy butt cheeks
in the Magic Mike films?
Yeah, that would be Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
According to Channing, she felt so strongly on the subject that it changed the whole script.
He told Vanity Fair, "That was going to be one of our plot points: To thong or not to
thong.
But my wife was like, 'You cannot have a movie without these guys getting in thongs.'"
"How hot is Magic Mike?"
"Boom nailed it!"
"Nailed it!"
No jealousy
It takes a confident woman to let her husband cozy up to Mila Kunis on the red carpet.
But the Tatums are so secure, there's basically no room for jealousy.
Heck, Channing didn't even bat an eye when his wife posted photos on Instagram of herself
publicly making out with a llama.
Now that's confidence.
Cake and hats
If you follow Channing Tatum on Instagram, you might have noticed he posts a lot of adorable
and affectionate shout-outs to his sweetie — usually accompanied by a pic of Jenna
looking gorgeous, per usual.
For some reason, though, he usually doesn't call her Jenna, instead referring to his wife
by the unusual nickname "cake."
Just what exactly that means is anyone's guess, but chances are it's an inside joke, like
their love of sombreros.
What do traditional Mexican hats have to do with falling in love?
For most couples, the answer is "not much," but for Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum, the
answer is everything.
Jenna explained to Ellen how she opened her hotel room door one night while working on
Step Up to find a sobrero surprise waiting for her.
"He's in a sombrero, he's naked.
No, sorry, has underware.
Underwear, sombrero, and Ugg boots, and he's like 'let's do this.'"
And the rest is history!
They do foot stuff
Proof positive that Channing Tatum is the best kind of weirdo — he gives his bride
spa-quality pedicures.
In the week leading up to Mother's Day 2016, Jenna hopped on Snapchat to give her fans
a glimpse of Channing giving her piggies the royal treatment, beginning with the removal
of her old polish and ending with a slightly unorthodox drying method.
Who needs a heat fan when you've got a hunky husband to blow your toes dry, anyway?
Make love, not war
It's probably not a surprise to hear that Jenna and Channing have a robust sex life.
Hearing them talk about it themselves, though, is a little weird.
But since they do like to share everything with the world, Jenna told Cosmopolitan, "We
definitely have a very happy and healthy [sex life].
Something about being a dancer connects you to your physical body.
It's primal, earthy, sexual energy by nature.
You feel your body in a certain way.
Channing is very much the same way.
He's very in tune with that."
One thing they don't do, though, is have sex when they're angry.
In fact, they have a rule that their sex life goes on pause until they've worked out whatever
issues are causing friction.
Channing told Cosmo "That's how we know there's something we have to talk about, that we have
to solve… whatever's between us energetically, before we can sort of get down.
For lack of a better term, we don't hate f**k each other.
That's just not what we do."
Words to live by.
