Topaz Yates back with another album review.
This time to Young Thug, Beautiful Thugger Girls.
Whats funny about this is that people had to be sitting in the boardroom plotting this
one out.
Thinking we need to get both of these rappers who can't sing in the booth to create a singing
album, whats the worst that can happen?
For those who don't know this was executively produced by drake, which means he didn't make
a beat he provided the direction of this project all the way.
And all jokes aside this isn't a bad project.
Yes it ultimately becomes background music but in comparison to his other works this
stands out as one of his best works to date.
Think of it like this, take Drake who is known for this psudo-dancehall sound that has been
burning up the radio.
Which was obviously what people wanted from him.
Then take Young Thug who has recently been featuring with Wyclef expanding on his sound.
Put if all together and make it into an album, thats exactly what you get here.
So lets break this down from the startwith Family Don't Matter.
Songs like this is why I have consistently told people that Young Thug isn't that good
of a lyricist at all.
As this song gives the allusion of a concept being he is so deeply in love with this person
that he
doesn't care if his family needs him.
Yet thats not whats going on as lyrically he is simply spitting.
Not
saying that this doesn't happen but for this type
of track
usually
there
is a story behind it.
