Zalgiris and Euroleague Basketball social project One Team changes lives

First of all I would like to thank all the organizers and participants of One Team project
Because children have joined it with great enthusiasm.
They can see that they are important with the help of One Team.
Despite their mistakes or troubled childhood they are important to all of us.
I feel that such project is making a huge influence on their change, self realization
And will help them to get back into society more smoothly.
I am happy that such project took place. For example one kid has already left our detention center.
He participated in the program, set his goals and now we will see how it works out for him.
It is the most important thing that they set their goals, realistic goals and are trying to achieve them.
I am sure we will hear about their success in a few years.
It was interesting for us to see how everything is run here.
During the project both us and the youngsters have learned something.
We gave them a break from their daily routine, had conversations and shared our experiences.
We helped them to understand that basketball is not just a game: it is just like life –
You have to work hard to achieve something.
I came here open-minded. The first time I felt a little bit uncomfortable.
At first they had some renovation works, but now the facilities looks nice.
In a year I learned a lot about their lives.
They told me that have TVs here, they study, they finish high-schools, so they have the core to start the new lives.
It is all in their hands.
The meetings were helpful and encouraged us to set the goals in our lives.
It was fun to get acquainted with the players. We met new people during the length of One Team project.
It was interesting to know what Zalgiris players are doing every day. The drills we did together were awesome.
