Morgan Shoots on WWE
Following the release of Austin Aries last Friday, WrestleINC caught up with former WWE
and TNA/GFW wrestler Matt Morgan, who felt that WWE dropped the ball with A-Double.
“They stifled yet another star studded talent and it’s a damn shame,. In a day and age
where they’re begging for young guys to step up, you had one right there. You had
a bonafide main eventer.”
He went on to say that he agreed with the fans and Aries about him being wasted in the
Cruiserweight Division, saying he was better than doing, “stupid grab-ass skits with
Jack Gallagher.”
Alberto El Patron Under Investigation
It has been reported that current GFW Champion Alberto El Patron is under investigation for
domestic battery following an incident at Orlando International Airport. The police
released a statement saying:
“There was an incident at the Orlando International Airport at about 3 p.m. Sunday involving Jose
Rodriguez [Alberto El Patron]. The reported incident was a domestic violence battery,
and it is still under investigation. No arrests have been made as of this time, but the case
remains open."
Original eyewitnesses came forward to tell TMZ that the altercation involved Alberto
getting into a heated argument with a woman, but it was unclear who that was. Later on
TMZ posted some audio from the incident, which sounded like his fiancee, and WWE superstar,
Paige. Patron’s employer GFW released a statement saying:
“Global Force Wrestling takes all legal situations very seriously and is looking into
this matter. GFW is a privately-held company and will thoroughly investigate this incident
and fully cooperate with law enforcement.”
However Paige responded to the news on social media saying she was crying because of some
sad family news, and that she and Patron were being harassed by a fan.
“WE got the cops involved. I'm crying cuz I found out bad fam news & a lady tries take
a pic. She gets angry throws a drink on @PrideOfMexico” She followed that tweet up with: “Please
leave us alone. That's it.”
El Patron Furious Over Rap Battle
The Pride of Mexico also went on an expletive ridden rant on Instagram following last week’s
Rap Battle on Smackdown Live between The New Day and The Usos. In the segment, The Usos
made a joke about Xavier Woods appearing in the leaked Paige sex tape scandal, which got
a huge reaction from the audience and on Twitter. El Patron seemed none too pleased calling
out Triple H, The New Day and The Usos for a fight at his restaurant when Smackdown Live
is in San Antonio next week,
“Tuesday next week a bunch of p***** will be there in San Antonio. The man with the
big nose and no balls but also the p***** from the rap battle will be too.. also with
no balls. Like their boss. All yes men. I'll be in my restaurant. Starting at 10pm. I'll
be waiting for you there. And after I beat the s*** out of you, I'll buy you a drink
THUMBS UP EMOJI WINKING FACE EMOJI just because I'm a good man.”
Cancelled WrestleMania Match?
On his podcast Conversation with The Big Guy, former WWE superstar Ryback revealed that
at one point he was scheduled to face off against The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania
30. Now, this is Ryback’s podcast, so do take this with a pinch of salt.
“It was during my heel deal, my first one, where it probably wasn't going to be a favourable
position for me. But I was excited because I figured it was his last moment in WWE. So
I thought it would be really cool. I 100% would have done it.”
Ryback goes on to say that the match probably would have only gone a couple of minutes,
which he felt would have hurt his character. Warrior was inducted into the Hall of Fame
that year, but the superstar sadly passed away just two nights later, so it seems unlikely
that he would have passed WWE’s rigorous physical tests in order to return to the ring.
In the end Ryback competed in the WrestleMania 30 pre-show as part of RybAxel in a four-way
tag team match, where he took the pinfall. I wonder if that hurt his character.
Great Balls of Fire Feedback
I appear to be in the minority over Great Balls of Fire with only 16% of you agreeing
with me and a whopping 65% felt it was Cor [IMAGE].
Battleground Match Scrapped?
As reported in the WrestleTalk News yesterday, AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens for the United
States Championship at the Madison Square Garden event last Friday. Styles was originally
set to take on Owens at Battleground for the title after winning the Independence Day Battle
Royal, but that match has since been removed from WWE.com’s match listing for the event.
Dave Meltzer at Wrestling Observer had noted over the weekend that the title change could
be because Owens is hurting and taking time off, so it’s possible that Styles will defend
the title against someone else come Battleground. However, this could just be because Styles
won the title early, and the re-match has yet to be made official. We’ll find out
tonight on Smackdown Live.
Did we really just have the best WWE Raw of 2017? And is Kevin Owens really injured? Click

I have been Luke Owen, and that was Wrestling.
