here today with my friend Phillip, we're going to do a
pod test on
the Bonda ma Jacques
this is a red variant
and it was grown and sent to my by Jesus Rosario
and
and he is active on Google plus in the Pepper Lovers community
I'll put a link to that in the description
This is a carribean habanero type pepper
primarily from
saint lucia
and probably some of the neighboring islands
typically they are yellow, but I've seen some red
strains
floating around
but let's go ahead and cut this open
totally forgot my scales
that's alright
not a real good shot
pretty fairly thin walled
little bit of a chinensy kind of fruity smell
placenta looks kind of oily
pop a few seeds out of here real quick
pick which one you want
doesn't matter
what do you think of the smell?
yeah it's got that
that classic hot
chemical smell
ready?
yep
definitely that chemical
bitterness taste
it's really lightin my mouth up
mmm hmm
quite a bit of burn
mm hmm
little bit of eyes watering too
mm hmmm
seems a bit hotter than the Bonda ma Jacque I've had before
heat seems to crawl a little bit too
yellow I've only had the yellow
one before and it was
tasted a lot more fruity
this one doesn't really have that
it's more of that chinensey
flavor
it's a bit hotter than the yellow
seems like the red might be a cross
with the yellow but
yeah I feel the burn
a lot on the tongue and around the mouth towards the front
how bout you?
yeah
little bit of heat creeping towards the back
definitely mostly up front
got a warmth down in the chest
startin to ramp down a little bit
mm hhm
that's pretty hot actually
way hotter than a habanero
getting better now
still got a pretty strong mouth burn
yeah it caught me off guard, I wasn't expecting
to be that hot
anything else you want to add?
good pod but really hot
yep
cool
going to wrap this up, thank you Jesus for
sending me that
was the Bonda ma Jacques red
and
thank you for watching, please like, comment and subscribe
