- Weird dreams.
(cooing)
(laughs)
(orchestral music)
- Good Morning everyone.
Today the kids are doing a little bit of schoolwork here.
They wake up, they do their morning routine,
they eat their breakfast, and then they do some schoolwork.
I usually finalize some editing business,
which is what I did today.
So Bailey is working on some math,
Jacob's working on reading and writing,
and Parker's working on matching.
Baby's over here taking a nap.
- [Jessica] I'm getting him down for his nap.
- Jessica's just being a supermom,
teaching kids and putting them down for naps.
- Trying, I had kind of a failed experiment today.
- What was that?
- I've been having trouble keeping the kids in their seats
during meal times like breakfast at home.
Particularly this guy, who's supposed to be
in his seat, right now.
- [Christopher] Not this seat, a different seat.
- [Jessica] At the table.
- [Christopher] What seat are you supposed to be in?
- At the table.
- So basically it's like a revolving door of children
getting up from the table, either during breakfast,
or school, or whatever.
It's driving me bananas.
For a long time we've tried to work on it.
So today, my solution was, any kid that gets up
would have to do 15 jumping jacks.
And of course my kids just loved doing dumping jacks,
so basically breakfast ended up being three kids
doing like hundreds of jumping jacks and laughing
and having a great time.
Never tiring of the jumping jacks, and basically
never eating their meal.
So that didn't work.
And if anybody has any suggestions for keeping
a four year old in his seat during meal times,
I'd appreciate them.
I'm thinking about bringing back his
buckle-up booster chair-thing that attaches to the chair.
It's not a highchair, but it works as a highchair.
I don't know.
That's my current thought.
- [Christopher] You know who always stays
in his seat, during meal time?
This little precious.
- He's pretty proud of it.
- Woah, weird dreams, - He's having weird dreams.
- Weird dreams.
(cooing)
(laughs)
- One of the main things we're doing today
is trying to get moved into this house,
because we're still not totally moved in to this house.
- Not totally.
- Not totally, so, what we're gonna do right now is,
this is our garage, currently.
- So this kind of empty square was a full square
before Christopher went to Canada.
So I've been really working hard on that zone.
It's time to get the rest of the boxes,
it's gonna happen in the next two days or so, I'd say.
- The movers stacked up the boxes so deep.
And we-- we found a box in the very middle
that said, nothing but food.
(laughs)
so there's been a box of food buried in our garage
since we moved in.
So at that point we were both kind of like,
alright, this weekend we gotta deal with this.
I'm gonna move these racks over, and make an aisle way
between the boxes so we can see what we're dealing with,
because right now, we have no idea--
what that box over there is.
- And we have empty shelves back there.
I want to put the things in the boxes
on the empty shelves.
- Where they actually belong.
And this box here that you can barely see,
just the top of,
we have no idea what's in it,
because we can't get to it.
So we're trying to make an aisle way, so we can see it,
put things away, feel good about ourselves,
and hopefully move into this house.
And feel-- we're so happy about this house,
and so excited and loving the stuff that is put away,
we just want to make sure that we're
taking care of all the rest of the stuff.
I feel like once we get there, it's gonna feel so good.
We're gonna feel so amazing.
- I mean it's just a lot of work.
It's a lot of work to move a house.
With a bunch of little people.
We are getting it done,
and I'm actually really proud of us because
we are-- we've been busting through it,
we don't have a lot of time.
We obviously have a lot of people
to attend to and love, and feed.
We've been doing great.
And I love this house.
I love this house so much.
All day long, I'm like, (gasps)
Christopher, I can't believe we bought a house,
we have a house, we have a home.
I'm just-- I love it-- it's-- I love it.
It's perfect, perfect for us.
It's just-- I'm really excited about it.
- We're excited.
Let's clean the garage.
(jazzy piano music)
- I just uncovered another example.
This is like deep into what the boxes were, where I am now.
And this here...
Is pantry.
Every time I get to one of these I'm like,
oh man am I gonna find rotting, rotting food?
I should mention, one of the reasons
why I'm a little nervous about this is,
because one thing that I found was a teapot of mine,
that was turned over,
wrapped up in a lot of paper, thank goodness,
and full of water, full of old tea water.
So, the tea water had obviously poured out,
and leaked and filled up the paper with water.
The whole box was a soggy mess.
I'm glad it wasn't a refrigerated good.
It turned out to be fine, but it was a big funny surprise.
This has been a silly kind of experience.
It's been kind of wild.
- What are you doing Parker?
- The real splits.
- You're doing the real splits?
Parker's been working on
cartwheels and splits and handstands.
And it looks like he's got the splits down.
- Yeah.
- That's the real deal right there buddy.
I also notice that you dyed and grew out your hair.
- Yeah.
- Yeah that's pretty funny.
Sorry if our garage is a little noisy,
we've got the AC going, because it's hot today.
Anyway, we have made ourselves a little aisle way here.
Which is good.
These shelves still need to be bolted to a wall or something
but in the mean time, we've got stuff on either side of it.
So we've got an aisle way here, we can get to the stuff
on this side, and the stuff on this side.
And, we have an aisle way here,
so we can get to the stuff on this side,
and the stuff on that side.
Which is good, it's a much better system
than just a pile of boxes.
And this shelf is in place,
now we can start putting stuff there.
It's coming together.
And let me show you, the pile of boxes
that we have unpacked.
Which currently reside in our kitchen.
Now it's time to break down some boxes.
(playful music)
I broke down all the boxes,
so we got a pile of boxes here,
pile of boxes over there.
And I flattened out all of the packing paper
that they used, because when it's crumpled up,
it's job is to fill in voids and space,
so it's really big.
But if you flatten it out, then I can roll it up,
and put it in my recycling bin.
Doesn't fit in there otherwise.
Yes, great work.
- Daddy?
- What?
- Are you ready?
- You wanna play a game?
- Yeah.
I wanna do a magic trick.
- You can do a magic trick?
- Pick a card.
- I'll take this card right here.
- Alright, memorize it.
- Okay got it.
- Then, say stop.
- Stop.
- There's one, right there.
- Okay.
Got it, okay good, mhmm, mhmm.
- Shuffling it.
- Yeah, shuffling.
- Yep.
- Okay.
- You know how electricity goes through a balloon?
- Yeah?
- Well it's gonna go through my finger.
- Okay.
- It's gonna search the deck.
- Okay.
- Try and find your card.
- Okay.
Woah.
- I think we found it.
- Okay, ooh, nice one dude, good job.
That was excellent.
- Hi.
Let's talk about what we learned today.
We learned where not to put a box labeled,
Nothing but Food.
We learned all about Parker's progress on doing the splits.
And finally we learned that
Jacob is going to single-handedly bring back
the Magic Monday series.
Thanks for watching everybody,
we'll see you next time.
(giggles)
