hey guys it's Ian K for peep this out back again with another one for you after swinging
by my local wendy's to pick up some of the newest stuff they've got going at
the moment just as the weather is beginning to heat up and let's just say if you
like bacon and you like queso I think you've got something to look forward to
that's right everyone Wendy's is dropping a little bacon queso love on
us this summer and I thought I'd take a look at 1 of the 3 items featuring
it on their menu namely the all-new bacon queso chicken sandwich and given
that I'm a definite fan of their regular chicken sandwiches in general I
absolutely wanted to give this one a shot so guys let's not waste any more
time like always before I take the first bite of the all-new bacon queso chicken
sandwich to give you my thoughts like I always do let's get right up on it first
for that closer look let's peep this out
quality is our recipe so says wendy's as they look to light up the summer
with our all-new bacon queso menu and in this case we've got the chicken sandwich
variant greeted initially with that red jalapeno bun guys it's looking to
deliver a little bit of heat to the party I'm thinking and it looks pretty
fluffy underneath it we have got lots of bacon and some of that fire roasted
salsa in there guys looking really really nice it's a pretty generous
portion of that on top of a few little pieces of red onion here not too bad in
that department but what it sits on is also one of the main ingredients of this
one guys and that's easily the poblano queso drenched all on top of this
homestyle chicken patty here you guys all know the chicken rocks here at
Wendy's I definitely had to get that for sure so this is looking to deliver a lot
of flavor and that's for the very bottom underneath the chicken patty I'm
thinking it's going to be just a bun and it is so there you go guys looking very
nice lots of good stuff on the top of this chicken patty here this is the
all-new bacon queso chicken sandwich here at Wendy's let's peep out the
flavor well I got to say I'm definitely digging the look at this homestyle
chicken filet guys nice and thick it looks like it seasoned up very nicely
there nice breading on the outside and that applewood smoked bacon poking out
on top right there another nice situation I'm really hoping the poblano
cheese is going to light it up even further so let's find out it's the
all-new bacon queso chicken sandwich here at Wendy's
mmm that has got some nice sizzle coming from a fire roasted salsa a little bit
more of a saltiness I'm getting on the back end from the bacon and a nice
juiciness of the chicken filet itself and I haven't even gotten into the
cheese yet but it's very flavorful so let's keep going so nice creaminess is
coming up in the background from the poblano cheese but I got to say guys
this one's a little bit spicier than I was expecting but I have a feeling it's
the fire roasted salsa that's doing most of the work here guys it really is
lighting it up nicely here and the juiciness of the chicken patty is fairly
decent as well overall it's very very flavorful it's just the cheese is not
really popping that much because of the heap and I'm experiencing I mean it's
there and like I said it's creamy it's just not really popping flavor-wise
everything else is doing the job here though I got to say though if you really
like a little bit of spice in your chicken sandwiches here this is going to
go nicely and the applewood smoked bacon is easily a highlight as it always is
here at wendy's mmm still crispy and delicious even with that fire-roasted
salsa and the creaminess of the cheese in the background definitely a highlight
still yeah if any of you are fans of the spicy chicken sandwiches here at Wendy's
I think you're going to find a lot to like with this one for sure and like I
said the fire roasted salsa is pretty amazing on this even though the poblano
cheese is taking a little bit more of a backseat the bacon comes up on the back
end to save the day on this one this is really pretty tasty and definitely when
I'd recommend for you so what do you guys think are you personally one of

bacon case a chicken sandwich here Wendy's a decent

it's definitely a tasty chicken sandwich for sure I just wish the poblano cheese
itself was really popping more because the queso is the main selling point in
this on top of the bacon that we all know is great but the fire roasted salsa
is a definite plus and overall it is a very hearty chicken sandwich so it's an
easy recommendation either way and those are my thoughts on this one as we close
