Install Kodi 17.3 on Amazon Firestick - **Latest** Update step by step With BEST BUILD AUGUST 2017

hey guys Techdoctor here and today's video I'm going to be showing you how
you can install Kodi onto your new five stick and five TV now now lots of people
have been buying the fire stick and fire TVs in the holiday period so I thought
make a quick video and give you the exact steps you need to follow to
install Kodi I also show you at the end how to install a build on there if you
want to do that so with that being said let's get started okay so the very first
thing to do inside your fire stick is navigate to settings info settings let's
go to applications now this step isn't actually necessary to install Kodi but
just means like Amazon won't collect data about the apps that you have
installed so we click on this collect app usage data select that and then just
click on turn off okay let's do that okay so now if you go back up one now
let's go to device inside device you want to select the option for developer
developer options and in there you'll see there's two options and you want to
turn both of these options to on so if you select ADB debugging and that turns
on and then do the same thing for apps from unknown sources so if you select
that and click on turn on that's all we need to do here okay so the figure
backup one again from the home screen if you press left on the remote you want to
search for an app and the app that you're looking for is called downloader
so just use remote and type that in go down load Oh should see down the list so
let's click on that click on that again and now select the option to download
this should only take a few seconds
okay that's downloading and installing now okay we can now click on open when
that opens click on the first message and we now want to type in a web address
now the address that we want to type in is bi t ly ford slash cody 173 and this
is basically a shortcode URL or like a shortcut to the full cody website where
you can actually download so instead of typing in a big address you can type in
this short address and this will basically download Cody or begin the
download of Cody to your device let's do that now and click go if you
see this message just click OK it's fine it's not a problem
now we can now see that Cody's being downloaded onto our device ok so once
you see this code is now fully downloaded we can now click on install
so if we just press down on your remote control and then to the right
set the install option unless let's begin the install ok so we can now see
Cody's being installed onto our fire stick let's give that a second ok when
you see this you can now click on open this means Cody is now successfully
installed onto your device let's click on open and we now have cody 17.3
running on our fire stick ok so to install the durricks build we need to do
two things first you need to download the Aries wizard and then using that
wizard we need to install the build so to get the Aries wizard the first thing
you want to do is add cody is navigate to system which is cogwheel up here
inside system let's click on file manager we want to add a source click on
none now the address for the source is HTTP colon four slash four slash Ares -
repo dot EU
now guys if you're doing this in real time feel free to press the pause key
bottles have a copy of this link in the description and Aries has been having a
few issues in the last week or so which I mentioned in a previous video and
they've been slowly migrating this stuff to new because so hopefully by the time
you see this it should be hundreds and fine definitely no idea it was all good
at least click on okay let's give that a name I just call it dot Aries and just
as a tip the reason why we call it dot something is when you have a list of
directories the ones that call dot something will appear at the top so
calling this repoed dot something just means is easy to find because it will
appear at the top of your list if you do lots of reports resided so let's click
on OK now if we go back up one back again now we want to go to add-ons
inside add-ons let's click on its box icon on the top left we want to install
from zip file let's choose the new repository we just added so in our case
your stories and let's click on the zip file let's do that now so now waiting
for a message to pop up saying that the atom has been installed so we now go to
install from repository choose the Aries project we're going to go to program
add-ons and click on Ares wizard and click on install neck if you can air at
this stage and just do the process again so go back into it and click on install
and like I mentioned they were having some issues a few days ago but it's
mostly sorted out now and we can see this work the first time so once we have
the Ares wizard we can now click on that
and we can click on open and normally launch this for the first time the
wizard itself does do submit update so if that happens for you just wait also
if you get like a dark screen like this just just don't just don't panic just
give it a couple of seconds and the wizard should launch if if if it's
frozen time in a minute then just force closed Cody
and go back into it and it should be fine after that
in case it afterwards adjusting this update I mean really Ares doesn't really
need an introduction but for the people that don't know Ares wizard is a great
wizard for downloading builds downloading add-ons and have some
fantastic maintenance and tweaks options as well so if you haven't seen this
before definitely check it out okay so we're back to the main menu so if we can
if we can go to browse builds find the durricks gold click on that
choose cody 17 and this time we can use click 1 install okay let's make sure
that's cody 17 and then click on install you can leave the settings blank click
on proceed and this will now commence the download so this will download the
build on to your device then expand the build and installer and eventually you
get prompt saying you're on a force cloudy again so I'm just going to pause
the video just to save you time sit down for watch this but on your device that
does happen and wait for it to complete okay so here we can see that build is
now extracting so downloads first then it extracts then installs let's give
that a minnow this is what you'll see once the builders finished installing so
you have the option of backing up your skin prefer if you want to but for this
I will say no so let's click on now tip now again and here is just telling that
that Cody needs to be fully restarted before the build takes effect so as I
mentioned before guys on a five-stage just pull out and plug it back in on
Android boxes pull out the power and restart it just get the Kodi to restart
and we should now see the build ok so let me let me click on ok ok Cody's now
restarting so we should now hopefully see the build ok and here is the build
so as I believe these previously mentioned guys for any new build when it
first starts give you a couple of minutes
I do need five minutes or so because all gerelds are on here will automatically
go through an update procedure so if there's any
is updating this is what's going to happen so we if you try and move around
now you may notice that it's a bit sluggish so definitely give it a couple
of minutes make sure everything's updated this is
the prompt you'll see also when you first want to just give me some
information about the build here's your web link you can go to to
find out you know news information and updates so you can just dismiss about
okay so you also get this prompt is saying you want to pay cash packages and
thumbnails on the startup so there's something I do recommend if you are
using real debride track you can even set these options but as I'm not using
them I can just turn those off so person it once I do is just basically the
bottom three so it's fine so we can click on continue this basically just
means that when you start coding with this build automatically then keep the
old cash your packages and your thumb knows which will always help your coding
run smoother again this is the last prompt you'll see just saying colleague
is not build installed if you get the build menu it does say that even if the
build is actually installed so we cache um ignore that message that's it guys I
