show you my Cak, because I dont have a SAK.
SAK and CAK are of course acronyms swiss army knife and chinese army knife.
I have never owned a Swiss Army Knife because Ive owned a Leatherman, but Gear Best decided
they needed to move some units of the Zanmax, Swiss Army Knife style pocket knife- and since
I have trouble saying no, I said Sure.
So lets look at the Zanmax multitool pocket knife called the 3101 in black.
Its got 8 tools some of which do more than one thing.
So lets look at some basic dimensions Like the overall length closed.
The large blade and its cutting edge, the total length of the large blade open, the
small blade, the thickness, and I dunno spine thickness of the large blade.
And if someone asks me to measure the multipurpose hook they can go to hell.
Ok so theres 8 tools
the large blade the screwdriver with can opener, the cork screw for the winos, the sewing eye
and reamer punch part, the multipurpose hook, the key ring dangly thing, the bottle opener
and flathead screwdriver, the small blade, and the scissors.
Ok lets look closer at the large blade first.
Its cool I guess, probably the most useful part in this whole thing.
Its a decent size for cutting crust off your bread or whittling a stick.
You open it with the thumb knick and it has a lock back mechanism nothing is truly locking
on this multitool.
Then theres the can opener great for uh can opening Lets open a can of something and see.
Wow that was fun I guess.
Also the small 3mm head for a little screwing.
Moving on to the stump screw, sometimes called the cork screw for people who drink out of
corked bottles.
Can it pick up a stump?
Well just skip over the reamer punch and sewing hole tool for a second and then the hook.
I mean they probably do some good.
But here they are for you to look at.
Then the 6mm screw driver for more screwing, it looks like it has a bottle opener on it.
so naturally we need to drink a beer to test it.
And finally the spring assisted scissors.
Which are a bit larger than on my leatherman wave.
Ok let me give a few more unorganized observations before I wrap it up.I have found that when
you try to open all tools some tools become very hard to open the hardest to open are
the hook and reamer, which is ok because Ill probably never use those.
The exterior is made of a textured aluminum so its not totally slick it has a stainless
steel liner, too most of the tools have lock backs keeping them in place, so theres a good
amount of tension on them, to keep them open.
It does have a keychain on it, but its way to heavy for me to want to carry on my keychain,
and also this is sort of a larger CAK again chinese army knife okay I made that up- in
case you werent sure.
Now I personally have never carried a swiss army knife.
The main reason being is because I carry Leathermans and I carry those because of the larger blades
and the pliers I use pliers almost as much as the blades.
I like the Leatherman Wave the best because of all the lock tools but I carried the PST
for years, and was still happy.
Those are both heavier, but I usually carry those on my belt when outside.
Since I dont have a swiss army knife to compare this too, I cant say how much better this
one is.
I have held a few swiss army knives in my life, but they never really did anything for
me personally.
Not even a semi.
But just because they dont do it for me, doesnt me they wont do it for you.
Another thing to note, do not use the small blade like I did seen here, it is the only
blade without a lock back so I had to bend it back because I applied to much pressure
to it.
Also the wine screw rocks back and forth a bit so lets call it an emergency wine opener
only.

Yay.
Thanks for watching.
