celeb is demanding or out of control, it can quickly become a nightmare.
And word gets around.
Some stars' nasty reps cost them big, jeopardizing jobs, colleagues, or even access to the Hollywood
scene.
Here are some famous celebs everyone hates working with.
Chris Brown
Singer Chris Brown seems to attract trouble, something that hasn't gone unnoticed by those
in the industry.
In 2011, he threw a temper tantrum on the set of Good Morning America after being questioned
about his domestic abuse charges.
Brown allegedly got so angry that he walked off set and threw a chair at a window in his
dressing room.
Not exactly the kind of thing that gets one invited back for more TV interviews.
According to Billboard, former employees have also lobbed fierce accusations against the
R&B singer, accusing him of physically and emotionally abusing them, all while battling
his own alleged mental illness and drug use.
A member of his security detail said, "You didn't know how he was going to wake up.
Were you going to get cool Chris?
Or depressed or artsy and focused Chris, who would be very productive?
Or the happy-go-lucky Chris, who would just joke around and have fun?
It was a different person every day."
Kanye West
Rapper Kanye West's various feuds with his fellow musicians are the stuff of legend.
But his signature arrogance, diva tendencies, and irrational outbursts extend beyond music
and into his other venture as a self-proclaimed fashion mogul.
According to designer and A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou, it took West two years to finalize
designs for his first collection.
Touitou told W Magazine, "When we finally finished this collection, I felt like, okay,
if I made this happen, then I can achieve peace in the Middle East."
Mariah Carey
Thanks to her reality series Mariah's World, fans have an inside look at the nonsense her
staff has to deal with, including tying her shoes for her and even carrying her when her
little footsies hurt.
Of course, if you really want horror stories about working with Carey, you simply need
to ask the folks at Dick Clark Productions about her infamous live performance on their
2017 New Year's Rockin' Eve show.
"I'm trying to have a holiday too.
Can I not have one?
I'm trying to be a good sport here."
Kiefer Sutherland
The actor best known for his starring role on 24 has been accused of having co-stars
fired for outshining him on the show.
Shohreh Aghdashloo told Fox & Friends that someone recommended she not shine too bright
on her first day on set — when she did, her character was suddenly killed off, something
she feels Sutherland instigated.
"Was he an easy guy to work with?"
"No, I'm afraid working with him proved to be hard."
"Really?!"
"Yes, the young man was pretty angry."
Freddie Prinze Jr. also fell victim to Sutherland's reported rage, telling ABC News that 24 almost
led him to quit acting for good.
"Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world.
That's not me talking trash, I'd say it to his face, I think everyone that's worked with
him has said that."
Sharon Stone
Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone made her Italian film debut in 2014, working with director
Pupi Avati on The Golden Boy.
Avati told The Hollywood Reporter, her diva antics began before she'd even signed on to
the film.
"It was a negotiation that bordered on ridiculousness, concerning embarrassing details, as if Italy
was a third world country."
The star's ridiculous demands have also allegedly cost her a gig or two along the way, including
an invitation to luxury jeweler de Grisogono's annual party.
A source told Page Six that the actress demanded $300,000, eight hotel rooms for the week,
and a private jet.
They said no — and invited Kim Kardashian instead.
Jennifer Aniston
She may be America's Sweetheart, but Jennifer Aniston has a bit of a reputation as a diva.
In addition to accusations that she refuses to mingle with her castmates, Star Magazine
reported that she threw a fit on the set of the 2014 comedy She's Funny That Way because
there was a character in the script named Angie.
Aniston allegedly refused to show up for work until the character's name was changed.
Wonder why?
Beyoncé
Her fans know her as Queen Bey, but Beyoncé is known in the industry for being tough and
even downright cruel to those who work for her.
Media TakeOut News relayed rumors about her screaming at backup dancers during rehearsals,
and the Daily Star published a list of supposed demands, including titanium straws that cost
more than $800 each, alkaline water served at precisely 21 degrees, everyone dressed
in 100 percent pure cotton clothes, and freshly painted dressing rooms with brand new toilet
seats.
Hey, everyone's got their hangups.
Jennifer Lopez
In 2013, Jennifer Lopez's insane list of demands lost her the opportunity to perform at the
opening ceremony of India's Premier League cricket tournament, an event that drew 56
million viewers the previous year.
An insider told Page Six that in addition to her usual wants, Lopez allegedly demanded
a private jet and no less than nine additional dressing rooms for her 90-person crew.
JLo ultimately "priced herself out of the event" in India, with the gig going to Pitbull
instead.
Obviously Pitbull's demands were much easier to meet, by comparison.
