Lee Yong-soo, one of the surviving Korean victims, was at the unveiling ceremony.
Lee was forced to serve Japanese troops in one of the brothels when she was just 15 years
old.
Speaking at the ceremony,... she said it was a historic day and thanked the city of San
Francisco.
She stressed that the horrors of the past must be shown to future generations to prevent
a similar atrocity from happening again.
