Hey guys! It’s Mi-Anne and this is Beauty With Mi.
I am very excited today because I get to play with two brand new highlighters from celebrities,
Rihanna and Kim Kardashian.
I have Rihanna’s new Fenty Beauty Highlighters. Here are the powders.
I also have the stick ones.
And I have Kim Kardashian’s new highlighting and contour palette, which I am very excited
about.
In the world of beauty, you can never have too many highlighters.
That is my personal opinion so I am very excited to see how these fare as I wear them throughout
the day.

Let’s get started.
I actually haven’t tried anything from Kim Kardashian’s line yet, so this will be a
first for me.
Ah!
The Kim Kardashian Palette, this thing has sold out I think twice so far.
Finally got my hands on it.
It is quite sizable.
It has that nice little Kim K nude finish.
Open it up.
Woo!
Big mirror, like that.
And it has two highlighters, a bronzer, and a contour shade.
I have this palette in the shade light, but there’s a medium and a dark, I believe.
Then there’s this brush which, not going to lie, looks a little suggestive.
There’s the domed side here which I assume would be for the highlighter and then there’s
an angled side here that I think would be good for bronzer or contour.
I’m going to use the Kim Kardashian Palette, the highlighters on one side of my face.
And then I’m going to use some of Rihanna’s highlighters on the other side of my face.
And we’re going to see how they wear throughout the day.
The brush is really soft, guys.
Alright, Kim K, make me glow!
Alright, putting it on.
Oh it’s so pr—it’s a very soft subdued highlight.
You can definitely—oh, whoa!
It’s not soft.
Can you see that?
It definitely did the job, but I would say this is a little bit of a wide highlight for
me.
I would prefer, I think on the day-to-day, to use a little something bit smaller like
a fan brush.
I think this gives you a lot more precise application.
I’m blown away.
It’s so nice.
It’s so pretty like especially in the light when you catch it with that highlighter bobble.
It’s like…
It’s a really beautiful shade.
This is the more pink shade and then I’m going to swatch the paler shade that I’m
wearing right now on the other side just so we can see the difference.
Yeah, it definitely has a little bit more of a yellow undertone.
It’s definitely frostier.
I’m really into it.
I’m going to play with the Fenty stuff now.
So Fenty Beauty came out with a number of different products.
There’s foundation.
There’s contour sticks, powder highlighters, cream highlighters.
I’ve got two of Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter duos.
There’s a very intense highlight and then a more subdued one.
I have one in Ginger Binge and Moscow Mule.
And then I have Lightning Dust and Fire Crystal.
Also beautiful.
Definitely more wearable.
Although this warm one is beautiful too.
And the sticks, I have the shades Cinnamon, Confetti, and Unicorn.
You get a good amount of product here.
It’s pretty wide, the actual stick.
It doesn’t have that slick creamy feeling that a lot of stick highlighters have.
It actually almost feels like a cream to powder. It's a very lovely light texture.
I think that in terms of what’s going to look the best on my complexion and also match-ish
to the one that I’m wearing on the Kim Kardashian side is this one, the Lightning Dust and Crystal
Fire.
It does have a little bit of a similar color tone to the lighter Kim Kardashian highlight
that I used today.
So I’m going to put that on my right cheek.
I’m going to go for the more subdued side just to see what it’ll look like on my cheek
and then I’ll probably go in with the more metallic side to beef it up.
Like that one is really picking up product.
We shall see.
Really pretty honestly.
Confetti shade.
Whew!
I think they look pretty good so far.
We’ll have to see how they fare.
It’s around 9 a.m. now, so I’m going to wear it for the rest of the work day.
I’m going to ask a few friends what they think.

It’s around noon so I’ve been wearing the highlighter for a couple hours now.

No, I can’t. I can’t actually tell.
Which one do you think is Fenty and which one do you think is Kim Kardashian?
I think I’m going to have to go with—I think the right side is Fenty because…
Why?
Because I think it’s more purple.
It’s a little bit more crazy.
Kim Kardashian ones, I feel like, are more natural.
This is more pigmented.
This is like fun and this is like werk.
Werk.
Werk.
Which one do you think is Rihanna and which one do you think is Kim?
Or Fenty and Kim?
So I think, obviously from what I just said, from the contour side, that has to be Kim.
And I know that Fenty has a beautiful purple highlighter, so it’s definitely that side.

The Fenty one is a little bit more sparkly.
I think it’s better for day.

General consensus from all of my coworkers is that they look really great.
And I have to agree.
I think they look beautiful but they are so different.
I would wear them for different occasions.
I would want both.
I’d wear the Kim Kardashian side when I want a more diffused subtle look, great for
day-to-day.
Rihanna, I would slap it on if I want my highlight to be the focus of my look.
Or I’m going out and I want something shimmery.
I mean look at this glitter.
That being said, it is up to you what you decide or not.
I’m obviously addicted to highlighter.
