And my whole life I've had a passion for wildlife and animals, and being able to
see such a vast variety of animals and wildlife species in such a beautiful
setting — it kind of just comes together as such a perfect opportunity.
Coming to UW, I really wanted to pursue and seek out the most unique and
immersive opportunities that I could possibly find, and being able to go to
Yellowstone for a week to experience being in nature, learning, is something
that I found invaluable.
Being out in the field learning and having this strong connection with the
professors, face-to-face — it's completely different than being in the classroom.
But being, like, out here in the wilderness and kind of seeing as you
learn and seeing animals that you hear about in class — it just solidifies all
that knowledge that you learned, and really makes it so much more memorable.
