I'm a violin performance major at Eastman and a mechanical engineering major at U of R.
Eastman/Rochester was by far the best setup program that I applied to for dual degrees.
And it was definitely sort of a reach school. I wasn't sure I was gonna get it at the time,
but here I am!
Coming in, music had always been a hobby of mine.
You know it was something that I did for fun,
And I wanted to make sure that it could stay that way.
Because I was worried that if I was suddenly dependent on it for a career
it would become stressful and competitive and no longer,
you know, something that brings joy into my life.
So I think the dual degree has really allowed me to keep it as that.
This was a great school.
I think one of my favorite things actually was walking into my first advising meeting with Professor Muir.
And you already knew who I was.
I've applied to grad school programs for both music and engineering
I'm thinking about the music ones just to investigate to see if that's still fun
when I'm suddenly doing it alone and not the engineering.
And one of them was Eastman for a master's in violin performance so I might be back
