Hi all and welcome to this review of the universal ambidextrous Adapt-X holster from Swiss Arms distributed by Cybergun
The holster is offered in a large cardboard box with a lot of illustrations
They mainly describe the different positions where the holster can be attached
The various steps of setup and adjustment of the holster and which thus acts as the user manual
And finally, the different options of the holster and the content of the box
The printed text are English and French written on all faces
Inside is the Adapt-X holster and a belt-fastening system
An English and French written notice to describe how to change the face of the active retention system since this holster is completely ambidextrous
In a plastic satchet, there is a second complete system of active retention and two Allen keys
This holster is largely maded of rigid polymer, it seems durable and therefore offers an active retention to release the bb gun
We can adjust the orientation of this one at 360° thanks to its radial attachment which is also ambidextrous
You can also change the face of the retention system of the bb gun by following the instructions in the provided notice
Regarding markings, a Swiss Arms logo is engraved on each side of the holster
This holster is composed of 2 polymer sheets that will come to tighten the bb gun located inside
The clamping adjustment will then be done thanks to 6 screws that will be adjusted regarding the used bb gun
The active retention mechanism will be done thanks to a lever that will get stuck inside the trigger guard
The tightening screws are all about the same type, they consist of a screw which is encased in a thick rubber tube
Allowing a resistance to tightening and thus allowing a better blocking
The screw of the trigger guard is specific, because it is composed of 2 rubber tubes and an eccentric which will come to be pressed on this same trigger guard
Adjusting this holster is very fast, ensure that the screws are loose enough to allow the insertion of the bb gun
This one is then inserted and the holster is summarily adjusted using the 6 screws
This operation can be done by hand thanks to the rather large size of the screw heads
For a more precise and fast operation, it will be necessary to use a screwdriver
Then place the bb gun upside down in the holster
Push the eccentric of the screw of the trigger guard until it is locked against it
Then tighten this screw
Then, it is the turn of the other 2 close screws to be adjusted
And we end with the 3 lower screws, following the same process
We can then test the maintenance of the bb gun which in my case ,does not move at all and does not leave the holster
If needed, fine-tune the trim for a holster resistance to your taste
The installation on the mount is done by superimposing the 2 notched discs one on the other which can be adjusted to the desired angle
First, insert the adjusting screw into its housing
Then position the mount at the screw level
Finish by tightening the screw with the largest provided Allen key
The second one will be used to mount the active retention system
To use the belt fastener, just insert the paddle inside the trousers
The outer face of this one also offers a rubber coating for better grip
Once installed, the hoslter stays in place
You can use this holster with optional accessories to attach it to Molle loops or on a thigh platform
The setting of the holster follows in this case, the same process to follow
To have a first idea of the compatibility of your bb gun, check the dimensions here on screen, it will give you already a good estimation regarding your own bb gun
Cybergun announces a compatibility with more than 300 bb guns
This is true for most standard bb guns of the market as I was able to test with my Armorer Works Custom HX1001, used at the beginning of this video
Find in the description of this video, the link to the official Cybergun list of compatible bb guns with this Adapt-X holster
I still managed to find non-compatible bb guns
As soon as the bb gun is high enough, it blocks at the trigger guard level
To conclude, this Adapt-X holster is a very good product
It breathes quality, the possibilities of adjustment are very numerous for a broad compatibility
The operation is also very simple and it will be very appreciated if you have several bb guns and you want to avoid purchasing several specific holsters
