Hello and welcome to the review of the new Hugo Boss Touch
the new smartwatch of Hugo Boss
we have here the black version, but there`s also a silver version
with a brown leather watchband
which is more the vintage option. This option here is a bit more chic
with a black leather watchband and a
dark navy rubber watchband
rubber doesn`t sound very substantial, but
this feels very nice here!

it feels slighty brushed and very smooth
then there is this subtile logo
which is also there and very good visible
so it feels really valuable also on the clasp
there is the logo

same on the rubberized version as well as on the leatherversion
and then you also have the logo branding outside on the only button, the watch has got

and we have the different
watchface skins, we can
select and configure. when we now say for example
we would like to have the watchface
with different complications
then we can
adjust them here
we can say I don`t want to have here on the top
the battery staus, but other things
then you can do it here
under "watch" you have some more points to choose from
like countdown, date, etc. there you can adjust it
exactly like you want it to.

I personally like to have the battery status there
so I can always see if I need to recharge
because here we come to the next thing:
the battery lasts circa one day.
So at night I always have to take the watch off and recharge it.
and with that I get through the day. What I put down here
is the timer function
I use it for example in the gym
and when I use it for round about one hour
for the training
then the watch is used very intensively for this hour
so in the evening at around 10p.m.
I am pretty close to the end of the
batterylife.
When I want to go out in the evening
I need to recharge it inbetween
and there, the thing is that charging
only works with this interface on the backside
and that`s charged by the dock, which is included

it is magnetical
so it`s pulling towards each other
you can hear the clicking
and on the other side, you have the basic USB plug.
the lenght of the cable is not superlong, but sufficient

if you want to place it on the nightstand or into the bathroom or wherever
that`s working pretty well.
the only disadvantage is while travelling, when you have
forgotten the dock, you really have a problem
because you can`t charge it with a normal mobilephone charging cable

which is a bit of a pitty, but apart from that
in total you get a very high-quality impression
let`s got back to the watchface skins. Here, we have this clean skin
we can even adjust if the small seconds dial should run
smoothly or if it should jump from one second to the other
so more clipped like a quarz watch
and when standby is started
it shows only the main dials and the logo
you can also switch it off completely, that extends the batterylife
but if you don`t always want to turn your arm
to see the actual time
then you have it like this on the
wrist and you simply want to
have a look at the time
less showy
you can still do this when the screen doesn`t switch off completely.
It also quite nice on the arm
it`s a great size
so nothing to complain about
I added a little screen protector film
you can get it at Amazon for 5-6€
and is easy to attach
I don`t know how tricky it is with scratches on this screen, but
until now
I didn`t have no difficulties with the protection film
better safe than sorry
the surface itself - I have it now since
one month-
has some little traces of usage
but it`s really little. So the galvanic protects quite well
there are really only tiny scratches
I didn`t spare it very much. Of course
it`s not waterproof, I wouldn`t go swimming with it
because that would be killing it

in addition I would like to also show the
changing funktion of the wristbands
so I can take it and this hook here I press
and I have to search for the spot down here
to press the hook into it
pull it down and
...it`s a bit fiddly...
normally I don`t do this so often
okay, it jumps in and locks
same thing with the other side
I take it off
put it down here
hold it here on the hook and apply down there
press the hook down
it locks also here and holds tight
So I can fit the watchface accordingly

here I can also change all the colors
I can say I want bold watch hands
or thin watch hands
this is my favorite watchface, that`s why I show it with this one
so style quiet or style bold
style bold are the thick watch hands with thick

digits

here I can also say
I`d like to have navy as
background color, so it fits more to the
navy wristband
or I take a more
classic
watchface
here I can adjust if the secands-dial should run clipped or smoothly

or I take a more classic watchface
which is also looking nice in this combination
here I can adjust a second timezone
when I`m flying or
traveling abroad
so I have both timezones at a glance
here I can adjust if the digits
should look like this
or like

bold, roman
bold we already had on the other watchface
like this it looks on this one
here, I can also change the color
black/silver, also nice
then it looks like this
when I waint now,
then the screen
should go into
sleepmode
and than you see again only the main watchhands and the Boss Logo
very subtle, looks really nice
and is not too loud
okay, what we also have is
a more sporty
watchface with a lot of information
here the next appointments are shown
the batterystatus and the next alarms
of course, completely configurable
like I said, this is my favorite watchface
and when a message comes in
I can swipe to the top,
I can adjust if it should cover the whole screen
I can choose if it should only pop up shortly
or if it should be visible longer
I can also put it into the
complications, here
I can scroll through all messages

and when there are too many
I just click on
close all and then they are gone
you get to the main menu by pressing the button on the side
and here you can see all the apps,
and adjustments.
you can from that menu also enter the
Goole Play Store
where you can get more apps (yopu need a wifi-connection for that)
there you can also get 3rd-parties watchfaces
but I did not find nicer ones like the basic ones
I really think that the standard watchfaces
are perfect. So I don`t need any 3rd party watchfaces
What I made use of really often is the flashlight funktion
bacause it`s directly on the wrist
you don`t have to hold something in your hands additionally, so it`s very handy
events are synchrionized by Google Calendar
entering them on this little screen is a bit fiddly
there is also the possiblity to enter everything
with voice to text, that works better,
or you can also handwrite
the letters separately
or you take the onscreen keyboard but that`s not
really usable, I`d say.
When the battery is down, there is the battery safe mode
there the screen goes off completely
just like you see it now
so you have some hours more
you can press the screen to see the time
but it won`t also light up completely bright to safe power.
so far to these functions
it`s the basic
Google surface like on every
Smartwatch with Android 2.2
also the options, so the softwear is the same.
okay, so far to this topic
what you can say in addition is that the
infos are also shown on the watch when you
for example listen to music via your phone
so you can skip forth or back directly with a toch on the screen
you can pause and resume
pretty handy when you go by car or by
bike or whatever

another thing I have to say is, that voicecalls are not possible
means when you
get a call you can accept it but it will be directly forwarded to the
phone, you can`t talk directly with the watch

the smartwatch works with IOS as well as with Android
with IOS you have to download the App
and you are guided there through the installation process
you can also change the watchskins directly in the app, but
usually you do that on the watch itself, which works very well.
so, what else?
the workmanship is really very high-class
the watch comes in a very nice box
