Go Bridgeside!
I have been a Wes Anderson enthusiast for a while, but honestly, he won a new
lifetime fan in me with this movie. It incorporates every dork's dream come true:
a political agenda, an all-star voice cast, stop-motion, and, honestly, dogs.
As a dog lover myself, this movie pulled on some serious heartstrings. Set in
futuristic Megasaki, Japan, the government isn't a big fan of the
outbursts of dog flu, or snout fever. So to Trash Island they go. A quarantine
might sound like a simple solution to an unexpected outbreak for our beloved pets,
but there is a sinister plot behind it all. It's up to one tiny pilot on a
mission to save his four-legged best friend. One little plight I have with the
movie is the stereotypical adaptation of Japanese culture in America. It's not
horrendously inappropriate, but I'm just grateful they used actual Japanese voice
actors and kept the text genuine.
Overall, I give this movie in four paws up and
really want to go to the shelter and adopt 10 more dogs
so Cooper here
can have more friends to play with hey guys thanks for watching we appreciate the
GoBridgeside.
