Hello it's Seth Welling.
Great to see everyone tonight.
I went to Pacific Rim Uprising on In Car Movie Review/ Overall I liked it.
It was good.
It was very action-packed.
I didn't think there was a slow spot in this movie.
You know how somewhere in Act Two there's a slow spot where the have to do a lot of
dialogue to color the backstory?
There wasn't really that and that is good.
I checked it out on imdb and it was a 6 out of 10.
I thought it was higher than that, personally, although it's still a weird movie.
It's like the Transformers battling (Godzilla).
But, overall it is good.
I liked the Asian characters featured in it because not many films outside martial art
films feature Asian characters, and since I'm Asian I'm going to think that's
a plus.
John Boyega was good so was Scott Eastwood, although Scott Eastwood's character was
a little more unidimensional because he was always trying to prove himself better than
John Boyega.
Other than that the movie was good.
Charlie Day was really interesting in his character.
I 'm not gonna give any spoilers away but I think the most important line for kids and
anyone who needs it was "Don't Let What Someone Else Thinks of You Define Who You
Are" Something like that.
THat's a really important sentiment and one that I had to learn later in life.
So if you're a kid and and you can have access to that quote, if you listen to that
quote it will surely help you in not caring what other people say.
Overall I thought it was a good movie if you like monster movies and Transformers and Voltrons.
I think they look like Voltrons too- precursor of Transformers from Japan.
Overall this movie is a better monster movie than a lot of them and you can thank Guillermo
Del Toro for that because he did the first one and the director (Stephen DeKnight) decided
to get Del Toro's blessing before he started production on this one.
It's really much better than the average monster movie.
I had lower expectations because it was a sequel, but they were unfounded because this
was a good movie.
So this is a definite watch with a caveat of "if you like the genre".
