- Hey guys, it's Marissa,
and today I'm gonna be showing you guys
three of my favorite hairstyles.
I wear these hairstyles to school, to sports,
to the park, to the movies, anywhere I'm going,
'cause they're so cute and they're good for any occasion.

You guys done it in the past and I know you can do it now.
And the Subscriber of the Day is Alexandra Gongora.
Thank you so much for subscribing,
and now let's just get right into the video.
All right guys, switching over to voiceover.
I am going to start by making a part,
kind of one inch all the way down to my ear, on both sides.
And then with those two pieces of hair that we just took out
we're going to kind of tie in a knot
to cover up the elastic.
This is kind of what you do
at the beginning of tying your shoes.
Then after you have the knot tied,
we're gonna put both of the pieces of hair
underneath the big ponytail,
and tie it off so that the elastic is hidden.
Either way it looks cute,
if you leave it or you add a little extra
by doing a pull-through braid
which I am going to show you right now.
To start a pull-through braid,
start by dividing your hair into two sections,
making sure that they're even.
Then with an elastic,
I like to use the big ones
because my hair is kind of thick,
but the small ones work too.
With that elastic tie off the top part of your hair
about two inches from the base of the ponytail.
Then split that ponytail into two
and reach under and grab the hair
from underneath of the ponytail.
Tighten it up, and we're gonna repeat the process.
Tie it, split it into two,
then reach under and grab the other ponytail.
Then you can just tighten it up
and repeat the process all the way down.
Once you start learning it and getting the hang of it,
it goes by really fast,
and I love to do this one for school.
You can do this pull-through braid
in a ton of different variations.
I like to do it in maybe in a French Pull-through Braid,
a Side Pull-through Braid,
just a little Accent Pull-through Braid,
but you can kind of change your style how you like it.
Then I like to frame my face
by kind of pulling out some pieces,
loosening it up a bit, pancaking the braid,
and then you have the finished hairstyle.
Here is the Knotted Pull-through Braid.
All right guys for the second hairstyle
we are going to start by parting our hair to the side.
(upbeat guitar music)
Then again, we're going to make
about a one inch part down to our ear.
And then I like to tie off my hair in the back,
just so it's out of the way.
And after that, we are going to start a Dutch Braid
with the hair that we just sectioned off.
If you guys don't know how to do a Dutch Braid,
I did a How To Dutch Braid video
if you guys wanna go check that out.
It's kind of hard to explain,
but I have a whole video on it.
I obviously wasn't perfect at it on my first try either,
so, yeah just do a Dutch Braid all the way down to your ear,
making sure that it can go in a ponytail also.
So here is the Dutch Braid.
And now we're going to let the mane loose again
and start another Dutch Braid
so that we have kind of a double braid effect.
Section off the hair and then start the Dutch Braid.
And while I'm doing it
I like to go back and pancake the braid a little bit,
just so it's kind of full and it looks thicker,
because even small braids can look thick
if you really pancake them out.
Then after I'm done with the second braid
I like to pull it back into a ponytail,
and I added a little messy bun,
but you guys can do a braided ponytail,
a messy bun, or a fishtail, whatever you want.
Another little shout out for a video,
I did a How To Do My Messy Bun,
so if you guys wanna learn how to do this messy bun
go check out that video, linked down in the Description.
Here is the final look.
This is the Double Braided Bun hairstyle.
I love to wear this hairstyle to school and to even sports,
I just don't do the bun
because obviously that would fall out if you were running.
All right guys for the third hairstyle
we are going to keep those two braids in
because they're just so dang cute
and you can do a lot of different hairstyles with them.
A little trick so that you guys don't have bumps
when you pull your hair back into a ponytail,
I like to kind of aim my braid back while I'm braiding it
so that when I do pull it back into a ponytail
it doesn't have any bumps, so that it's smooth
and it looks clean and nice.
Just start by pulling your hair into a Pie Ponytail.
You can either do a low-ponytail or a mid-ponytail.
It doesn't really matter,
but I like to add another braid into this hairstyle
so I'm going to braid my ponytail and pancake it again.
(bouncy, melodic music)
And that is the finished hairstyle.
This one is really simple and it's really fast to do,
and I love this one for school.
Thanks for watching.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
