thinking of joining? Are you trying to decide what skills you might use on the
platform and be approved for? Or are you trying to maybe edit those skills - add
some and delete others? Today I'm going to show you the range of skills that's
available on the LinkedIn platform for ProFinder. I'm also going to show you at
the end how to edit add and delete those skills. Don't miss the end because
it's a little tricky! I'm Peg Corwin and this channel is all about LinkedIn lead
generation -- including ProFinder -- and also social media lead generation to get you
more leads and more business! If this sounds useful, I'd love to have you
subscribe to this channel so you don't miss an episode! If you're new to
LinkedIn's ProFinder, it's is a freelancer platform built into the
LinkedIn ecosystem. It's a bit like Upwork. However in this platform the pros
are vetted, you must be approved. You can only be listed for 10 skills.
ProFinder skills range from accounting to legal to writing and editing. In addition
to a larger skill categories, there are subcategories of each of these skills to
help the prospect drill down and find exactly the professionals that they need.
I'd like to show you the full range of skills -- both the categories and the
subcategories. I'm going to list in the description the link where you can
see these. Here's a quick review of the various categories of freelancer
services that you can use in LinkedIn's ProFinder. We see accounting services,
administrative services - some of which we would call virtual
assistants -- and then a wide variety of business consulting services,
coaching services -- which also inclusive miscellaneous things like public
speaking -- design services, events, financial services, home improvement
services, types of insurance, IT services, legal services, marketing services, down
here, a wide selection of photography and video, real estate
services, software and development, wellness services, and writing and
editing. Now I'm going to show you how to find what skills you are currently
approved for in LinkedIn profile. We're in the ProFinder profile of Paul LeRoux.
I'm going to go up here to the right hand side, upper right hand corner, to his
name. Click the drop down arrow and then click settings. Under settings you
can see the services that you are approved for. If you want to make a
change, you have to click "request change" and this is going to give you an email
to the ProFinder concierge team. They must approve you for any new
skills. For a change of skill request if you're a ProFinder member or if you
have any other questions about ProFinder, I have included here a link to
the question section for ProFinder. This goes to the ProFinder concierge team
directly. It's kind of hard to find so I thought I would include it here.
