An alternate TTHM method involves amber vials and does not require acid addition.
If your vials are amber, you will not need to use an acid dropper.

The sample vial contains a chemical, so handle with care.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, open the bottle carefully, and do not rinse
out the bottle.
If the vial is clear, add 3 drops of acid.
If the vial is amber, do not add any acid.
